4 Route des Raveyres, 1824, Caux
Been here?
A scenic parking and picnic area above Montreux with sweeping views over Lake Geneva, popular for a quiet overnight stop despite a restaurant nearby. Toilets, a fountain (no hose fitting), picnic tables under a roof, and a playground are on site; free of charge. Access is via a narrow, winding, and steep road, tricky for motorhomes over about 6-7m; parking is limited and often full in season, especially at hikers' departure times. Overnight stays are generally peaceful and tolerated, with hiking trails and a mountain train stop nearby.

Beautiful location overlooking lake Geneva and the mountains. Toilets, fresh running water, play area, picnic area. Winding narrow roads to climb up from Montreux but accessible. Plenty of shaded spaces under the trees. There is a mountain train stop nearby if you want to catch it and go up to Rochers De Nay which we did and one of the best places to visit!
Magical moments, magnificent spot; the photos speak for themselves. Table, toilet and rubbish bin. Very quiet night.
What a view and sunset over Lake Geneva! Toilets available, picnic tables, playground, and, for those who can afford it, a magnificent restaurant. There are few spaces, so it must fill up quickly in high season. Continue along the road if it is open; other spots are possible farther up. Thank you to the municipality for letting us stay.
Perfect place for one night, with incredible views and very quiet. Public toilets next door. One of the best places we have stayed.
Incredible, with very little traffic noise, apart from the restaurant closing around 10 p.m. A completely normal mosque. Some bus and car noise, but really nothing bothersome for a quiet night.
We spent a wonderful night: peaceful and pleasant, with spectacular views both at sunset and at dawn, perfect for enjoying a delicious breakfast.
Magnificent view, toilets, fountain, tables and benches. Winding climb. Parking with a restaurant, so there is some noise when diners leave, but overall it is very quiet. Trailheads nearby.
Very quiet and clean, perfect for a lunch break. Clean toilets.
Beautiful views, parking for 24h near a hotel/restaurant with a public toilet. Definitely busy, but 100% worth it. Start to hikes to Rochers de Naye and Jaman
Extraordinary view over the lake. Little space for large vehicles, and the climb is difficult.
Absolutely stunning view!
Since the pass was closed, we stayed in the parking area beside the restaurant. There is an incredible view and beautiful walks. A quiet and peaceful night, and the spot is free. I recommend it.
Super overcrowded with hikers, tourists and restaurant guests. And the weather was not good at all, moody/rainy day in october.
Wonderful place, perfect view, clean toilets, drinking water, restaurant next door.
Incredible view, but very crowded and not much space.
Spectacular for watching the sunset over the lake and spending a quiet night. There is a picnic area and toilets. The downside is the mountain climb, which must be driven carefully, and there are giant mosquitoes at the top.
We drove up with our 7.5-meter motorhome; it is possible with a good driver. Superb place, with children's play equipment, a fountain and toilets. Excellent!
Top view, benches, toilet, relaxed atmosphere.
Perfect for one night! A magnificent view at night, and probably at waking too, but we had fog.
A beautiful place with covered areas and tables, but you have to be prepared to suffer a little to get there along a somewhat narrow, winding and quite steep road with a 7-meter vehicle. No problem with a van; a coachbuilt camper will struggle a little. Toilets are fine, and there is a cog railway nearby with possible routes to the summit.
Great for one night, nice view, clean facilities.
