Been here?
This forest parking area at about 900 m offers hiking on the GR10 and views towards the Spanish Pyrenees, the sea, Perpignan and Canigou. Several parking possibilities exist, but finding a level place can be difficult, and the area can be windy. A refuge chalet open all year serves drinks, meals and desserts nearby. There are picnic tables and barbecue areas, but no rubbish containers.

A magical place with a magnificent forest. Views of the Spanish Pyrenees on one side and the sea and Perpignan on the other. Located on the GR10, with the Albera refuge chalet open all year, serving drinks and excellent dishes and desserts. Not to be missed. At 900 m elevation, it was also cool enough to escape the heat wave.Translating
A beautiful place with picnic tables and a local restaurant. We ate here and asked whether we could spend the night, since the service and hospitality were world-class and we thought it was the proper thing to do. Beautiful hiking routes, wonderful views, and at night you hear only the wind and wild animals. Highly recommended!Translating
It was a shame the weather turned against us; otherwise we had planned to spend 24 hours here. There are beautiful walks with superb views of the sea or Canigou when it is not hidden behind thick clouds. Very friendly welcome at the restaurant, which I recommend.Translating
Totally great, a beautiful place.Translating
Amazing place. I stayed here for 2 nights. One of the best Park4nights so far. Soooo beautiful. Hike up to see the most astonishing view! Only thing: it was impossible for me to park being entirely level. But still 5 stars, no doubt! A lot of people arrived during the day but at night it was very quiet. Can’t wait to come back here! Also I had a coffee at the terrace of the place here, with a stunning view. This place is so worth it.
Excellent spot with a superb view. The managers of the little chalet next door are very friendly. We had an aperitif there; the view from the terrace is magnificent. Hikers passed in the morning, but otherwise there was no disturbance.Translating
Good place to rest and escape the hot summer days, cool and very quiet at night. A bar-restaurant is next door, and it is the starting point for many routes and walks. No rubbish bins.Translating
Very quiet place to sleep; we spent two nights without any problems. It is very windy, though. There are tables for eating and designated barbecue areas. Beautiful route to Puig Neulós.Translating
perfect spot to go hiking. bit difficult to find a level spot on the parking, but further up the road you can park parallel to the road as well which is more level. really try the little restaurant, they serve amazing food and the have really funny traditions (if you tip them, you will find out).
Very good. Many parking possibilities. The only service is rubbish collection. Starting point for many hikes. Very windy with sea winds or the Tramontane. The climb to the pass is sometimes very narrow for a medium-sized motorhome. It is better to go up via the road in the center of Le Perthus, which is wider than the lower route through the village of L'Albère. Magnificent panoramic hike with views of Spain and France.Translating
