Gravel parking, quiet nights

Free parking on a gravel lot. The stadium is downstairs, with toilets and a bin. Shops and McDonald’s are also a few minutes’ walk away. We stayed several nights. Locals park there to go to the stadium in the evenings. I noticed one suspicious car once; it drove to the parking lot, stayed a few minutes, and left.

Always accessible and convenient for visiting the salt mine.

Good place for the night; it is also shaded in the late afternoon and early morning. Traffic is barely audible at night. To visit the mine the next day, we moved to a paid parking lot closer by.

Very large grounds, right next to a sports field with toilets, showers, etc. Excellent!

Free gravel parking. We stayed two nights without problems, but we were in the van the whole time. When visiting the salt mines, we paid for parking in town because of the previous review. Another camper also stayed two nights and left the van without problems. Bins and toilets are at the sports stadium below.

I strongly recommend this parking lot. Although it is near the center of Wieliczka, after leaving our camper there for three hours, we returned to find the door open and everything scattered inside. Someone had taken our laptop and a few other belongings, even though other cars were parked nearby.

We only stayed during the day to visit the salt mines, 15 minutes’ walk away. Very convenient, near a sports field.

Excellent flat gravel parking lot. Also great for rooftop tents. No prohibitions or restrictions. No services. Free. 600 meters from the mines. 400 meters from the train station, also convenient for Krakow (€1.50 each way; the center is 20 minutes away and trains run every half hour). We slept here for two nights. Quiet nights, with many other campers and vans.

Ideal parking for visiting the salt mines, during the day or overnight as we did. Very quiet night. The mines are within walking distance. After the parking business they have set up, this one was free.

Free parking away from the road, with a gravel surface, very spacious and no services, but perfect for a quiet night 20 minutes’ walk from the mine entrance. Also very close to the route to Krakow.

Large, free parking lot. It has no charm, but it is very practical. We did everything on foot. Toilets are open during the day downhill next to the stadium; a supermarket is five minutes away, the salt mine 15 minutes with children at a relaxed pace, and the train station 10 minutes away with children. We took the train to Krakow; a return ticket for two adults and four children cost €7.

Parking full of gravel, very isolated. We will not spend the night here.

Very good location and very calm and safe. I had a very restful stop. It makes you want to stay here for a while.

Quiet place; nobody disturbed me. A few cars passed toward morning. If there were more vehicles, it might be difficult to find a level spot. You park on grass; I do not know whether the police might object.

Good spot. A few cars arrived and stopped for a while before moving on. There are signs about a race taking place at some point, so be aware.

Just a roadside place at the end of the road where you can park. Quiet and peaceful, but completely exposed; in windy weather it would not be very comfortable.
