This is a daytime parking place in a nature reserve between fields, two bodies of water and a dike, with views of sheep pastures and the sea. Overnight stays are prohibited, and the area may become crowded with visiting cars and walkers. Trains pass about 200-300 meters away, while mosquitoes can be extremely numerous. The wooden table and benches are no longer present.

Nice place for a lunch break in a dead-end street, as you have to turn around; more suitable for smaller vehicles. Walkers with cars keep arriving, so there is then not much space left. Unfortunately, the seating area is no longer there.
I do not recommend this place. It is certainly very quiet, but I had never seen so many mosquitoes before. Impossible to go outside; there are thousands of them, without exaggerating... Good luck to all the brave people who venture here.
We were asked to pay here. It was an expensive joke!
Nice daytime parking area for nature lovers, but overnight stays are no longer allowed here either because of the wild-camping ban that applies throughout Schleswig-Holstein. We thought it was still tolerated, but the police fined us mercilessly—€100 plus extortionately high fees. This will not happen to us a second time. The nature-conservation authorities have unfortunately become stricter. What a shame!
A wonderful, very idyllic place between the dike and sheep. Truly a dream if you are looking for peace and a place away from crowds. The trains on the Hindenburgdamm are barely audible; you mainly hear the sheep bleating. The claims about excrement made by some previous reviewers are not really accurate, in our opinion—unless they were referring to the sheep's excrement ;)
The place is exactly as all previous reviewers described it. But if you come here without a toilet, it is only a matter of time before this place is closed. Everyone without a toilet goes into the surrounding countryside and leaves their excrement behind. That is disgusting and illegal. Find a place with a toilet and stay away from here! Thank you.
Quiet spot far from anywhere, directly beside the dike full of sheep. A friendly lady from the landscape protection authority came at 9:00 in the morning and said that camping is prohibited but overnight stays are tolerated. So keep everything inside the van and leave nothing behind, otherwise the tolerance may eventually end.
Good for one night! Alone with the fields and sheep. The dike is just a few metres away, but it is impossible to walk or cycle to the sea because barriers block the way! Very windy during our visit.
