This is a quiet daytime parking area near a small lake and a good starting point for hikes. The approach is somewhat narrow but manageable, and quarry blasting can occasionally disturb the peace. The nearby fishing hut was open daily from 08.00 to approximately 17.00; swimming in the lake is not permitted.

Quiet parking area when blasting is not taking place at the gravel quarry.
Top parking spot. Super quiet. Hikers came by occasionally because there are great trails here. Excellent view.
Beautiful, quiet parking area near a small lake. Good starting point for hikes. On my next visit to the Rhön, I would park my camper van here again. The access road is somewhat narrow but still manageable.
One of the most beautiful places in the Rhön. The approach is no problem at all. The road is over 5 m wide, so even oncoming traffic is easy. The fishermen's hut is currently open Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to about 5 p.m. The tenant is friendly and happy to welcome every guest. Swimming in the lake is not permitted, but it is great for a short dog walk. More is always possible, of course. LTE: two to three bars. Satellite reception works.
A really beautiful parking area. We liked it: quiet and ideal for hiking :)
