6 rue du Port, 1468, Cheyres-Châbles
Been here?
Free official aire beside the lake at Cheyres, right next to the railway line and 3 minutes from the beach. Only 2-3 spaces, often full, and the Eurorelais service point has been unreliable for years, frequently out of order for water and electricity. Currently only black and grey water dump works; no water or electricity available, and no overnight parking is permitted (signposted ban May-Sept 8am-6pm, enforced year-round recently). Trains pass regularly but most travellers find it tolerably quiet at night.

Only grey- and black-water disposal. No water available and parking is not allowed.
The services can be used, but parking is prohibited.
Overnight stays are possible in an emergency. A bit disgusting because the disposal point is on the right and the dog-waste bin is on the left. In the middle there is also the drain for the chemical toilet. Essentially, disposal only. The location is not set up for motorhomes, and there are no other pitches far and wide. A shame, as it is actually a very beautiful place by the lake.
There is neither electricity nor water here, only grey- and black-water disposal. Overnight stays are not possible.
There is no height restriction at the service area. However, at the moment the coin machine is closed off with a plate, so there is no water or electricity. Grey- and black-water disposal works. Be careful: lift the hatch at the back of the unit for black-water disposal! Do not empty into the drain under the tap, and rinse with the grey water!
2m height restriction.
You cannot empty grey water, only fill up.
Parking is no longer allowed, only emptying and other services at the Eurorelais point.
No space, no disposal facilities, and parking is prohibited.
We had a quiet, relaxing night here in the car park right next to the service station, despite the railway tracks directly beside it. According to the sign: from May 1 to September 30, parking motorhomes is prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Still just as peaceful.
You can only empty black water, but there is no water to properly rinse the chemical toilet. You can pay to fill up with non-potable water and for electricity, but only with coins. There is room for only two motorhomes and, obviously, you cannot stay overnight. When we visited, a motorhome was parked there.
There is no longer a motorhome pitch here, only disposal facilities.
There is still no water to rinse the black-water disposal opening. You have to pay 5 Swiss francs for 100 litres of water or one hour of electricity. This is excessive. There could at least be free water to rinse the cassette and, above all, flush away the waste after emptying. Yuck!
Free and very convenient for enjoying the beach. We did not test the services and did not sleep there.
No water to rinse the toilet after emptying. Having the water turned off in winter might be acceptable, though even that is debatable. But in June there could at least be free water to rinse the cassette and, above all, flush away the waste after emptying. Yuck!
Perfect, alone in the world.
How can anyone give a free parking area only one or two stars? Free parking, and you are at a free beach with a playground, restaurant, and snack bar in 2 minutes. What more do you want? If it is too cramped or you do not like being beside the railway line, drive farther to the sports field. There is nothing there either, and it costs nothing.
Thanks to the municipality for making this very convenient spot free, apart from the services. Good restaurant at La Sarcelle beach.
