Lyngdalsheiðarvegur
Been here?
A single parking place along a rough gravel road offers an impressive lake view in an ancient lava field. A climbing cave is nearby, and the area is very quiet with little or no traffic, though there may be moucherons and sheep. Overnight stays are not allowed, and the road has some uneven sections.

Only one parking area on a rough road. Unobstructed view of the lake. Ideal for stopping and having a bite to eat before continuing the journey!
Magnificent view of the lake. The road is accessible to a regular car despite a few bumps at the beginning. No traffic, pure tranquility until evening, apart from a few gnats and sheep. It could easily have served as an overnight stop!
A great parking area, thank you! Completely quiet; the climbing cave is very close by. I might not otherwise have found it. Thank you!
