King's Inch Rd, PA4 8XQ, Glasgow
Been here?
A large free layby beside Braehead shopping and leisure centres, useful for an overnight stay near Glasgow. Shopping, bowling, cinema, minigolf, clean toilets and a bus stop for Glasgow are nearby, with a riverside cycle and walking path close by. Road traffic, delivery trucks and background air-conditioning create some noise, although nights can be quiet. Heavy rain can leave a large puddle, and the nearest lamppost flickers.

Perfect location for all your shopping needs. No one bothered us overnight. The downsides: the layby turns into a massive puddle after a heavy rain; the nearest lamppost flickers twice per second; a fair amount of noise from the road and delivery trucks to the entertainment centre. Same quality of sleep and the vibe as would have been stopping overnight at some motorway services, albeit for free.
A very large and free car park, near the bus stop for Glasgow, for those who do not want to drive their vehicle into the city. Next to it is a Leisure Centre, like a shopping centre, which opens quite early, and the bathrooms were very, very clean. Recommended.
we stayed here one night, very quite and cool addition to have bowling, cinema and minigolf just in front :)
We spent one night in this parking area, very quiet and convenient, next to the riverside cycle and pedestrian path. We did not see the toilets.
occasionally cars until midnight, then from 7, but not a lot. background hum of Air-conditioning or something like that, but not too bad. It's ok for a central Glasgow one night.
I spent a night here recently while working in the area and had no bother from anyone. There were occasional passing cars through the evening as there is a car park for the Xsite centre opposite. Looks like there are some residential properties being built behind the lay-by so this might change in future.
