Been here?
Flat gravel area beside an unused water tower, suitable for a lunch break or overnight stay. The access road is easy from the north and runs through fields, while the southern approach is rougher. It is quiet with little passing traffic, and drinking water may be available from the aqueduct technician.

The road there is easy and pleasant, through the fields. The place itself is quiet, with little traffic, but it feels slightly eerie because of the huge abandoned tower. We did not sleep there, only stopped for a coffee break.
A perfect spot for us. We were looking for a shady place to have lunch before reaching Matera. Nobody passed by except a very kind waterworks technician, who even let us fill our containers with drinking water. It is better to arrive from the north, because the road from the south is rougher. We had lunch and washed under this post-Soviet-style structure. Excellent.
