Car park, narrow single-track access

Perfect spot, clean toilets, beautiful hiking trail, very quiet. The approach is narrow and single-lane but manageable. The larger the vehicle, the better the driver should be. Not for satellite-dish users.

Amazing place with toilets. The most beautiful wanders with fantastic wildlife. Very cheap.

The road to access this spot is horrible, very winding and dangerous at night, with no lighting. The road is very narrow, with untrimmed trees and bushes on both sides. It is a two-way road, but very difficult, even impossible in places, for two vehicles to pass. We preferred to turn back. It would have been nice to mention this in the listing.

Really peaceful area. The longest circular walk at around 5km is flat and easy going. A nice pub half way round at Grove Ferry has a super little beer garden overlooking the river.

Nice little daytime stopover. Pleasant wall around Nature Reserve, toilet ok, £3.00 parking using honesty box or Ringo. Bees nesting in one of the 2 wooden huts in the carpark so caution.

A very quiet spot in the middle of nowhere. Very picturesque and off the beaten track. Stayed here beginning of march. Site a little muddy, but there is a concrete slab for disabled parking which we used. Toilets very clean, well worth the voluntarily fee of 3£

Have some binoculars round your neck in the morning and they will think you are a twitcher. Car parkes not exciting to stay in but some lovely walks. Be sure to be generous with the donation box.

As already described, the parking area is free; donations are requested, which we also made. No bins, so please take your rubbish with you.
