2 Via delle Prunacce, 56025, Pontedera
Been here?
This free, monitored parking area beside a pond can be used for an overnight stop before visiting Pisa. It has little shade and may be busy, with local residents, children playing basketball and nighttime vehicle activity reported. The pond provides some freshness, but swimming is not recommended.

Nice parking area, but residents park here! Very busy. We stayed from Sunday to Monday; until almost 11 p.m., children played basketball and teenagers gathered there. At 3 a.m., two cars arrived, drove around the area, shouted, and slammed doors. Something similar happened at 4 a.m. Swimming in the lake was not possible. There were very, very many mosquitoes.
We stopped by chance to eat and ultimately decided to stay. A very quiet and peaceful night.
Parking area next to the lakes. In autumn, it is a quiet place to spend the night, well lit, with little pedestrian or vehicle traffic. Plenty of free spaces. I imagine it is different in summer. I felt safe.
The parking area is excellent for larger motorhomes. The lake has an artificial beach (paid) and looks great. Unfortunately, we arrived with our 6.99 m motorhome via the gravel road. You can also come via the main road, which we did not know.
The access road is very narrow. I did not want to try it with a width of 2.30 m.
Excellent for parking, but not for sleeping. In the middle of the night, young people played soccer right behind the camper, making it impossible to sleep.
Nice place, near lake, “beach club” pizza …
