Been here?
This is a small, quiet meadow site beside an airfield, with views of Vierzehnheiligen, Staffelberg, and Banz Monastery. Parking costs €12 per night, there are no services, and the site is intended for self-contained motorhomes. Flight operations and sightseeing flights take place on weekends and public holidays, while nearby trains are clearly audible. Keep the motorhome at least 3 meters from the horse paddock, and do not feed or pet the horses.

We are often in Lichtenfels with our motorhome and tried this site. Late in the evening, the neighboring horse owners berated us—we were told to move to the motorhome parking area. We did that the next morning. We were welcome there, at least. A shame for the operator; it really is a beautiful site, but if the neighbor doesn’t like it…!
The site is a meadow in front of the small airfield. €12 is already the upper limit for a place with no facilities. At least it is a beautiful spot. It isn’t completely quiet, though. Trains on the nearby railway line can clearly be heard.
Cozy little site between the airfield and horse meadows. Close to town yet surrounded by greenery, right by the Main cycle path. Very friendly welcome. Only suitable for self-sufficient vehicles.
