A small nature parking area beside the bike path, near a nature reserve, marshes and pleasant walking and cycling routes. It is flat and peaceful, with a small pond and picnic table, but the spaces are not well suited to large motorhomes, which may need 2-3 places. The museum uses the parking area, and parking should be avoided during opening hours from 9:30 to 19:00. Recent information says overnight stays are no longer possible and police may issue fines.

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to spend the night here. We asked the museum staff, who confirmed that the police come by often and issue fines.
Location near a nature reserve, with pleasant bike rides and walks, a small pond behind the parking area, and a picnic table next to the building. However, there is far too much toilet paper... Pick up your rubbish! This is still a working site, and motorhomes and large trucks obstruct workers and visitors, so be considerate. Prefer the wild spot just before the parking area.
Small parking area not very suitable for large motorhomes, but a pleasant place. If we want to keep access to this parking area, please do not park here during Maison du Fier opening hours, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., so visitors have space.
Perfect for sleeping. Very quiet. Flat parking area at Maison du Fier. A bit small for motorhomes; you have to park diagonally and occupy two or three spaces.
Perfectly fine for one night. Watch out for the pothole, though. The dusty gravel surface is dirty. Otherwise it is quiet and secluded.
A peaceful, silent place among marshes and birds. However, some people come to party nearby in the evening until late, and museum employees arrive early in the morning in the parking area.

I spent two nights here without getting a fine, which is rare on Île de Ré. The site is not very suitable for large motorhomes.
Mainly a car park, with no height barrier, but you have to take three spaces when parking lengthwise. There is no prohibition against motorhomes, at least. The ground is full of potholes. Be careful with tall motorhomes, as branches scrape the sides on the exit bend. Suitable for a sightseeing stop.
Perfect spot, completely self-sufficient, for beautiful long walks. We stayed two nights and a full day, of course in the off-season! No problems despite several cars parking for walks. At night our only company was the frogs. Clean place, maximum two or three motorhomes so as not to disrupt the parking area.
