Camping Colfosco

In my opinion, an excellent campsite in a wonderful area, convenient for walking and climbing. Prices are not low but absolutely reasonable. The problem, as always, is more the guests, who could take better care of the bathrooms, showers and waste area. Overall, excellent management—and what a good review.

Positive: No reservations. This is how camping should be! Even in July, spaces were still available in the afternoon. Grandiose mountain setting, unbeatable as a starting point for hiking, biking, etc. Several cable cars, two villages, restaurants and more are within walking distance. Neutral: The pitches are quite close together. Negative: Bright LED lighting creates an atmosphere like a bus station. Hustle and bustle from 6 a.m.

5/5 – A sporty paradise in the Dolomites! Fantastic location directly along the Sella Ronda and close to the cable car. Friendly staff, easy check-in, and newly renovated, spotlessly clean service facilities. Perfect for hiking and cycling, with the added bonus of free local buses to get around easily. Highly recommended! We stayed 4 nights with our 7,40 motorhome.

Pleasant campsite, with views of the mountains, in the heart of the valley. A little too crowded... We paid €230 for three nights for a van with two adults, two children and a dog, plus electricity.

We cannot say anything negative, but we must also admit that we are traveling in a VW T6 and generally avoid campsites anyway, so we cannot say how much space is normally needed, especially since it depends on what you drive and how much space you require... A van or a 7.5-meter mega-camper!!!! We had enough space; the service and all the facilities were clean and well maintained.

Strongly not recommended: no pitches, all campers placed side by side about one meter apart at the attendant’s discretion, new but dirty bathrooms…!!

We stayed in Colfosco from 26 to 29 June. The campsite does not accept reservations, but there is always space until noon. The staff are very friendly and the facilities very clean. Cycling and hiking trails start from the campsite. A stream runs next to the campsite, which is a wonderfully refreshing attraction for people and animals in summer. Highly recommended. Great starting point for excursions. Pitches are sufficiently large. Otherwise very impersonal, quantity over quality. Also, due to the location, there is constant traffic noise. The people at the site did not look very happy either, so we drove on.

The welcome is adequate, and the facilities are clean and good. However, €48 (vehicle €20 + two adults at €12 each) with an additional €4 because we are staying one night... Very expensive to be packed tightly together with no privacy between campers.

The setting is absolutely magical, right in the middle of magnificent mountains on all sides!!! This somewhat makes up for the density of the pitches... A few basic necessities are sold at reception. You can also order bread for the next day. You need to be an early riser because many cyclists and hikers get up very early and make no effort to be discreet.

Adequate welcome. Clean campsite... but they need to make money by filling every space and cramming people in... a shame, as the surrounding mountains are so beautiful!!! In addition, if you stay only one night, they charge you €5 extra. This campsite has no competition, so campers have no choice unless they move on.
