Old Drymen Road, G63
Been here?
This wild spot is a passing place near the forest, offering calm surroundings, berries and access to a pine forest walk. It has room for a maximum of two small vans, while enough space must remain for passing vehicles. The right side is flat and dry, but the rear can become muddy. Electric pylons affect the view on one side, and occasional cyclists or motorbikes pass.

Very pleasant place to spend the night. Picking blueberries along the road for breakfast is an added bonus to the scenery and the site's peacefulness. The village of Drymen is nearby and very charming.Translating
Very quiet place; we mainly saw cyclists passing by. Muddy at the back, but flat, dry space on the right-hand side, away from the road.Translating
Muddy; we got stuck while turning around.Translating
Very beautiful view and a little less crowded than down below! Quiet despite being beside the road.Translating
Beautiful spot; two vehicles can fit here.Translating
There is only space for a maximum of two vans, not for anything bigger. keep in mind that there needs to remain enough space for it to be a passing place as well. Midges galore!
Very good spot, a little muddy but manageable for a 4x4 campervan. Suitable only for small vehicles.Translating
Location 500 m higher than the paid parking area for self-contained vehicles, slightly set back from the road. No traffic at night. Starting point for a walk through the planted pine forest.Translating
This place is beautiful. No one around in the evening as far as the eye could see. In the morning, only birdsong at first, then a few motorcyclists and joggers later in the morning. No one minded me staying here. I will probably come back here in two weeks on the return journey.Translating
No litter, very tidy, at the beginning of a route. Quiet place.Translating
It has become a rubbish dump, so I drove on.Translating
Fallback spot if there is no space in the parking area below, as this is a passing place. There is room for a van but no more. Very quiet spot.Translating
I spent two nights here. Very quiet, with little traffic. A superb view, with sheep for company. I recommend it, but beware: there are midges in the evening. And please pick up your rubbish!Translating
When you use this area as a toilet pick up your tissues at least afterwards! You girls are the worst for it just seen 2 do this here this morning.
Much quieter spot than the parking area below! However, we were eaten alive by midges!Translating
