4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
A remote picnic and castle-ruin site with a magnificent view and very quiet natural surroundings. Access is difficult, with a steep and bumpy track suitable for a small van, though careful driving is possible. The toilets and water are currently closed, and the picnic area is dirty and uncut. Roofed granite tables and a stone BBQ are available.

We had a good night's sleep, but the picnic area was dirty and unmown, and the toilets were closed with no water. The castle can be visited. We arrived in a small van; drive slowly and there is no problem.
No water or toilets today. A steep and bumpy in places track to get here but boy is it worth it. Interesting castle ruin with a powerful view and picnic tables. very quiet, only nature. I recommend...
Indeed, access is only suitable for a small van; we came in a Volkswagen California 4x4. The reward is an extremely quiet place, and we will spend the night here. One water point was still working, but the toilets were closed when we visited.
