Secluded lakeside, steep toll road

Wonderful pitch with excellent fishing and several small fire pits. The access is somewhat stepped at the beginning but manageable. Perhaps not suitable for huge motorhomes. We wanted to spend the night here after visiting the glacier. But a major storm came in, and with wind force 8 it became too uncomfortable for us.

Great pitch, toll can only be paid via Vipps (which foreigners cannot use) or in cash. The nearest ATM is at least 40 minutes away. There is a mailbox to put the money in—no receipt or anything similar. Otherwise, the approach is manageable. I would not want to drive up there at night.

The view was truly breathtaking. However, you should know beforehand: 1. The approach is quite steep over almost 8 km and also narrow. It goes completely into the mountains. If you are afraid of heights, you should think about it. 2. It was cold and very windy in early September. Those with a roof tent integrated into their van, like us, may not be able to leave it open overnight because of the strong wind.

Easy access with a 6 m van. The road is in good condition. Once at the top, there is one place on the beach and another a little farther on beneath the high-voltage power lines. There are more places along the road a little below and above. Magnificent place; you feel alone in the world.

Long and steep, but paved approach. It is breathtakingly beautiful up there, but you should note that there is no mobile reception and you are on your own. If you have the time, I can only recommend it!

A very beautiful place! Unfortunately, we could not sleep up there because there was a snowstorm. But even the weather made the pitch beautiful. We will come back in better weather.

Great spot with a fantastic view! Access via a toll road is possible with a van, but the road is too narrow for a motorhome! Hardly any traffic and a lake right outside… what more could you want?

The place is fantastic, but only for cars that can take some punishment. The toll road to get there is not easy.

Great spot with an excellent view. The lake is cold but you can swim in it. The road there is suitable for vans and panel vans, but not for motorhomes. Beware: there are lots of mosquitoes in summer, hence only 4 stars. Conclusion: a quiet, beautiful and pleasant place.
