Been here?
A flat parking area beside the Ötscher base and near the lake, serving as a starting point for hikes in the Ötschergräben. The nearby centre has toilets, showers, a restaurant and a drinks machine, while access and orderly parking can be difficult for motorhomes. In July 2026, a car with a roof tent and two people paid 34€, including tourist tax; the centre opens 8h /17h in summer.

July 2026/parking area for hiking trails. Price: €34 for a car with a roof tent, two people, tourist tax included. Free access to two toilets with paper and four showers. One drinks machine outside opening hours. Center open 8 a.m.–5 p.m. in summer. Regarding the reservation app (QR code on the parking terminal), it is best to ask reception for help (German only).
It is rather difficult to park properly here with a motorhome. At the nearby Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park there is a parking area that is easier to use. According to the signs, parking fees only apply from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Nice and idyllic campsite with showers and toilets. Everything was very clean and well maintained for us! A perfect base for the Ötschergräben! We were there during the week and only one other camper was present. It might be tight at weekends, as it is also a public parking area!
Toilets and showers are clean. You can also pay the overnight fee in cash at the cashier. Day parking works with coins.
Pitch (also a parking area for hikers) for one night: €25 plus tourist tax for two people, €30 total. One toilet and one shower each for men and women at the Ötscherbasis; anyone can use the sanitary facilities. Accordingly, their condition was poor: dirty, lots of rubbish, no toilet paper! The only advantages are the location and the food truck in the parking area—excellent food.
Access to the parking lot is from the Wienerbruck-Josefberg train station (photo), the parking lot is located next to the lake, at the entrance to the Naturpark. One night costs €25 for camper €5 for two adults. The environment is quiet and beautiful. The shower and toilet are clean.
The cost of an overnight stay is now €25 per night plus tourist tax per person, payable via the app. Recently the price was still €15, so it has almost doubled. Such a price increase is incomprehensible. The site is basically fine, with toilets and a shower available. Good starting point for hikes.
I recommend it. Paid from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.: €15; from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.: €5. Everything except electricity: water, toilet, shower, fire pit and barbecue. Recommended.
A fantastic place. Great view of the reservoir, completely quiet at night and right at the start of the hiking route into the Ötschergräben. Well-equipped nature park base with shop, restaurant, toilet and shower right next door.
Really great; we were alone in the evening. It is free in winter.
Very nice pitch directly by the lake. Gravel parking area. Very quiet even though the train station is right next to it. The shower with hot water and toilet are open 24/7. €15 from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. (during the day you also pay an additional €5). There is also a barbecue area.
Great facilities. It was worth the €15 per night to us! You do not need coins to pay; card payment is possible. In the front area, 150 m from the toilets, there is a large asphalt parking area. A little farther on, directly by the reservoir and toilets, is a gravel area.
