22 Scalinata Quesada, 16139, Genova
Been here?
This free parking area is in a safe residential neighbourhood and is best suited to small vans because the spaces are short. It is shaded, with a bus stop serving the historic centre every 10 minutes, while the centre is about 40 minutes away on foot. The area is convenient for visiting Genoa, though the garbage truck can be heard at night.

In a good neighborhood of Genoa, there is indeed the parking area shown in the photo, but just beyond it are shaded spaces where a small van can be parked against the wall. Ideal when traveling with a pet. Free, with a bus stop serving the historic center every ten minutes; you get there in fifteen minutes.
The spaces are small; our 5.9-meter van stuck out, but it is a safe place. We slept there on a Saturday night, and the only thing we heard was the garbage truck. We visited the city for ten hours, and everything was fine. It is an outlying neighborhood; we saw elderly people, families, and so on. No services, but the bus to Brignole station stops right there every twenty minutes.
Stayed here a night in December. Suitable for small vans only. Local & safe & shaded. Good for a night
Level parking, quiet at night and shaded. A little far from Genoa’s historic center—40 minutes on foot—but very good for one night.
Quite high up, about 30 minutes on foot from the center and 45 minutes from the first access to the sea. Otherwise, a safe and free parking area with lots of shade.
Good parking for a city trip, busy during the day because of the bus stop, and it looked like a decent neighborhood. Also recommended if visiting the stadium. However, suitable only for smaller vans or buses.
Actually, there is little space. We have a 6-meter vehicle and most spaces are too small. We went to the parking area at the DIY store.
Parked here for four hours to visit Genoa and had no problems. It is right by a bus route, with many dog walkers around, so it feels safe. BE CAREFUL, though—there are many wild boars around! We saw at least three scavenging near the recycling bins in this car park.
A perfect place to take bus line 37 (€1.50), with a ticket valid for 100 minutes of transport. It takes you to the historic center. In addition, the parking is free.
For staying during the day, the parking area is perfect. We felt comfortable leaving our car there while walking into the city. We also slept there one night; it was not quiet, but it worked. Emmelie and Marie :)
Accessible spot close to the city center, very quiet for a location right in the city. The spaces are not large but sufficient for a motorhome. We overhang a little with our Peugeot J5, but there is still plenty of room for cars to pass. We stayed one night without any problems. The only downside is that there are no services.
Safe parking, near a school and many apartment buildings. We parked easily with our Fiat Ducato and visited the city using bus 37, which stops right in the square.
