4 Route d'Ingersheim, 68230, Turckheim
Been here?
Free parking 5 minutes' walk from Turckheim town center with no height limit for vans and caravans. The lot offers ample space but can be shared with tour coaches. Expect daytime road and train noise, though trains rarely pass at night. A recent break-in attempt (May 2026) suggests caution is warranted. Use the second entrance to avoid the separate height-restricted area.

We parked easily; there was plenty of space beside the road. We parked here to visit the village. When we returned to the motorhome, someone had broken into the motorhome next to us, and there were signs of an attempted break-in on ours, so be careful. This happened between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m.
Whenever we visit the Turckheim markets, we always stop here, including tonight. Free, no services, but convenient. The trains do not run at night, and there are very few or no passing cars.
Quiet and free place; you cannot ask for more. There were no nearby emptying or cleaning facilities. When we went, there were not many motorhomes, so we hesitated a little about spending the night. We ended up sleeping there well; the road is quite audible. The train did not run at night, so it did not bother us.
Use the second entrance, with no height restriction. Ideal for visiting the village, just five minutes on foot. We did not stay overnight, but it does not seem like a bad place, although it is beside a fairly busy road.
Half of the parking lot is blocked for vehicles higher than 7.2 feet and the rest is shared with the tourist coaches and the parking spaces are a bit short so it is not very suitable for long motorhomes. Otherwise it is fine altrungh it is noisy.
A good location to park if you don’t need services. There is a small rubbish bin here. It’s a bitumen car park, a short walk from the entrance to the town. It is quite noisy during the day - located between a busy road and a trainline. The trains are not frequent. At night after about 9pm, the road traffic is quiet until about 7am. The longest bays are closest to the entrance. Reverse in is best.
Park large campers in reverse.
A great place to visit beautiful Turckheim, very easy to reach.
Parking lot five minutes from the old town. There are rubbish bins. The problem is that in the early morning the road was quite busy and noisy. There is no shade. It would be 3.5 stars. It is safe, which is appreciated. Across the village there is another parking area with shade and less noise. At 10 p.m., the town's night watchman comes out dressed in period costume with a lantern and candle. Picturesque. Beautiful village.
We spent one night. It is very close to the village, and a route for seeing the surrounding area by bicycle passes from here. Although it is beside the road, few cars passed at night.
Ideal for visiting the town, five minutes away. Plenty of space and we had a quiet night. No facilities. At 10 p.m. we went on a walk with the night watchman, exactly at 10 during the summer months. Great to experience.
Ideal for visiting the village. I only parked; you could spend the night since there is no sign prohibiting it, but it is beside the road.
Very quiet and free area for visiting the village. We spent one night without any problems. It only has rubbish bins, but if you do not need anything else, it is perfect.
We did not sleep there, only parked to visit the village, and found it ideal because it is free and the village is a five-minute walk away. Great initiative by the village.
Perfect for parking. Free, no restrictions, and very good for visiting the village, five minutes on foot. We did not spend the night; you can see the village in an hour at most.
Free, excellent for visiting the village. We spent a quiet night during the Christmas markets. The train does not run at night.
Ideal for visiting the village.
Ideally located parking area. Quiet night despite the busy road from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and trains passing slowly. No services.
Free parking 600 meters from the town entrance. Ideal for a visit.
Free, quiet night, next to the road but with little nighttime traffic. A 5-minute walk from the village. During the Christmas market season, all areas are overcrowded, so this could be a good option for spending the night near Colmar.
Great parking, free, 5 minutes from the village center. It may be a little noisy for spending the night because the road is next to it.
Free parking for visiting, with spacious spaces.
