Well-located motorhome area, 5 minutes from the ramparts, with electricity, dumping facilities and water. The trees have been pruned, so there is not much shade, but it is okay. Shops 100 meters away.
Area of no interest, considering that for the same price, the one at the fronton is tree-lined, clean, quiet and pleasant.
Parking area with fresh-water filling and gray- and black-water dumping. The village center is 5 minutes away. Quiet place for an overnight stay. €12 per day with electricity.
Barrier working. € 12 for 24 hours All facilities including electricity working ok. Very quiet night easy walk into interesting town . No problems.
Grass not cut, rubbish area dirty. The barrier remained stuck for an hour before the town hall finally sent someone. The town is superb; the municipal service is useless and unpleasant.
Right next to the shops, it feels like a ski resort, not for me. The one lower on the map is better located if you prefer nature and the historic center on foot, which is closer.
Great park up. All services and EHU for €12. Needed levellers. 5 minute walk to the walled medieval city. Nice cafes outside the walls.
Spent just to one night here, 12 euros everything included. would highly recommend. thank you to the community. jc
We arrived on January 21 at 3 p.m. to find the area closed for tree pruning, from Monday the 19th to Friday the 23rd at 5 p.m. We saw no tree surgeons or machinery, and no work appeared to be underway. A shame, since the other area was also closed. We left without visiting this beautiful town.
Motorhome area close to the town center and shops, very convenient for sightseeing. Thanks to the municipality, very reasonable price.
Great location. Carrefour Market next door.
As of December 12, the area is open. The price is €12 with electricity and all services. Very good for spending the night and visiting this beautiful village.
To find this area, follow the signs for “Jaï Alaï motorhome area.” It is near the rugby field, 5 minutes on foot from the town.
Area with fairly large spaces. All services. Everything was clean when we visited. Plenty of electrical hookups. Very quiet at night. Very close to the center. €12 all inclusive.
Open on September 27, 2025. This is a parking area with services in the lower part of town, next to Carrefour. Perfect for visiting the town. Very quiet at night. The fresh-water, dumping and black-water cassette facilities are in very poor condition, barely usable, and hygiene standards are not respected. Public toilet in good condition at the north corner of the stadium changing rooms, 50 m from the services.
Well located for visiting the town. The spaces are a little tight, but it is very quiet at night. Nothing to complain about.
Well-located area near the stadium with all services, including electricity, for €12. However, management of the rubbish area is deplorable, with waste strewn across the floor. Some motorhome users are irresponsible, certainly, but the town hall also bears responsibility for hygiene and sanitation.
There are mosquitoes active until late. Be careful if you have allergic reactions like me :(
It is beside the supermarket parking area. Convenient because the main services—electricity, water filling and dumping—are available, but everyone is packed closely together. We only needed one night and it was perfectly fine.
Good location for visiting the village. Quiet place with all services included and working well. There are quite a few shaded spaces.
Since we could not access the other difficult-to-reach area, we arrived at this site. The terminal is difficult to read because it is very high and faces the sun. The area is fine, 5 minutes from the town center, though the spaces are a little cramped. All services are available for €12. A few small trees, but very hot during a heatwave. Thanks to the municipality for welcoming all these tourists.
The area is open. It is ideally located beside the stadium and close to the town. Access is easy. There are enough electrical hookups. The €12 price is justified and entirely reasonable.
Well located, everything seems to work... but a lower payment terminal would help. Since it faces the sun, the screen is unreadable. Why not install a sunshade?
Open. But the other motorhome area at the same price offers larger spaces. We would therefore prefer the other one.
Closed - terminal not working correctly to allow any entry - allocates a space but doesn’t go onto payment screen - there were 5 vans inside so ?! A gentleman came over and replaced a barrier which stated close use the one on place du fronton which is 100% nicer. This area is just a large tarmac area near housing.
The area is operational and open!
Attention, the area is closed.
Temporarily closed I think. Machine not working and no electricity which was switched off while we were there. There is sign directing visitors to use the other Aire in town.
Thanks to the municipality of St Jean Pied de Port and its smiling, helpful employees. I regret that dishonest motorhome users, whatever their nationality, take an unauthorized route to avoid paying, even though the machine works. How sad!
French people arrive here, push aside the barriers at the rear of the site, for example FQ 310 TP, and simply drive onto the site without paying. Otherwise, the site is very beautiful and centrally located.
Thanks to the town hall for this area with all services, located near the town and shops, with a Carrefour Express 2 minutes away on foot. Pretty village with its citadel.
Thanks to the municipality for this area near the old town, worth visiting, with all services. Very large, easy-to-maneuver spaces on March 15, 2025.
Excellent area for visiting Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Very quiet during our weekend visit. The area is divided into two sections, one with access to electrical hookups and one without. Nothing to complain about.
Pleasant area and little frequented at this time of year. Very quiet night. Close to the town center and shops. No information about the services. €22 for 48 hours.
