Great meadow. We spent two nights here with two motorhomes. Very beautiful and a good starting point for hiking. After heavy rain it may be difficult to drive onto the meadow. There was a party at the shooting club; you have to expect that. Thanks to the town for providing places like this!

A super beautiful and extremely quiet place to spend the night. I could also imagine staying here for several nights. It is nice that this old football field is offered for overnight stays. There is a slight slope. We explored the nearby hiking trails with our dog.

We can highly recommend it. We stayed here Tuesday and Wednesday. Two villagers briefly walked around the site with their dog; otherwise nobody took any interest in us. Absolutely quiet. Hiking trails start directly at the site. There is no toilet. At the entrance there is a small rubbish bin and dog-waste bags. Since it used to be a football field, the site is level.

It feels somehow strange to drive onto this place. But it is actually very beautiful, green and very quiet. The meadow is freshly mowed and, in good weather, firm enough. A sign identifies the place as motorhome parking, even though it looks like a football field. Several small hiking trails surround it. All the residents were very friendly. I felt very safe here alone.

The place is open again. It was probably closed because of the shooting festival. We spent a peaceful night. Thank you very much!

Many thanks to the town of Scharfenberg. We spent a peaceful night here. Two or three easy hiking routes start from the parking area. Great view over the town and as far as Brilon. No toilet. Please keep it clean.

We stayed there for one night last weekend; it was very quiet and we felt comfortable. There is a beautiful view of nature at the back. The grass was high, but that did not bother us—it is free and officially available for overnight stays, so it is great that it exists! If it has been raining for a long time, it may be problematic because the access has a small ramp, but we got away again without difficulty.

Free and legal, peaceful and quiet! As a self-sufficient camper, this is an excellent place! We have stayed several times as a base for mountain-bike trips; all the bike parks are within a half-hour drive. The field had just been mowed. With a lot of rain, getting away again may be a bit risky. Sounds of a cow, horse, owl or church bells. Next to a phone mast, so there is always good reception!

Beautiful, peaceful meadow. A little muddy in the rain, but I still got back down very well. Very nice hiking opportunities. I would happily return in autumn for mountain biking. Thank you to the little village.
