Been here?
Small lakeside campsite in Brunnen with private lake access, run by friendly owners, though a few visitors found the reception unfriendly. Pitches sit on an unmarked grass meadow with lake views; sanitary facilities are older but generally clean. Showers and hot water at sinks cost extra (around 1 CHF), payment is often cash-only, and reservations aren't possible. Expect about 38-50 CHF/francs per night for two people with a vehicle. A neighbouring public bathing area can get crowded and noisy on sunny days. The site closes for good in 2027.

Great location, small, cozy, and well-equipped. The owners are super friendly and relaxedThe pitches by the lake have amazing views. Big downside, there’s a public Badi right in front of the lake pitches. It gets very crowded and noisy from 10:00 to 22:00, especially on sunny weekends. People set up right in front of your pitch with BBQs, kids, and groups, which absolutely kill the beautiful vibe.
Very friendly welcome. Quiet location. Very clean sanitary facilities. One small drawback: cold water at the sinks. 25 minutes on foot to the town and the boat to the Rütli.Translating
We were at the site with four vehicles and were allowed to choose our own spots on the large meadow by the lake. The sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated but clean and well maintained. Hot water in the shower costs 1 franc for 4 minutes. The site is well suited for excursions by boat, on foot or by train. Public barbecue area directly next to the campsite.Translating
Friendly operator, but no marked pitches. Sanitary facilities seriously outdated. Long-term campers with poorly maintained vehicles. Showers must be paid for with coins, dishwashing water costs 1 CHF or 2 euros. The lakeside location is fantastic, hence the points. The operator has changed and will hopefully improve the site.Translating
We spent 5 lovely days here before Easter. Beat and his wife Christa looked after us very kindly. Great location directly on the lake. Quiet and clean sanitary facilities (thanks to the cleaning lady). The small campsite bistro has a small but excellent menu, such as barley soup with Muotathal beef hay or pasta with homemade wild garlic sauce. We will be back. Thank you very much.Translating
Finally these tenants have had their last season... hooray!!!Translating
Very nice campsite with a very friendly operator. The site is beautifully located, surrounded by lots of greenery, with a nature reserve next door. From the site you can immediately reach a sunbathing lawn and the lakeside swimming area. There are many stones, so water shoes are recommended. The town of Brunnen is within walking distance. On the way there is a small beach section (no dogs allowed) with a restaurant and an indoor swimming pool. In town there is a ferry landing for trips to the surrounding places (Lucerne, Flüelen, Treib…). There are also all kinds of restaurants and shops. A cable car leading to the Urmiberg is also within walking distance of the campsite. The campsite's sanitary facilities are good; a washing machine and dryer are also available. Hot water for showers and hot dishwashing water costs 1 CHF per 3 minutes. Facilities for grey water and chemical toilet disposal are available. Wi-Fi is available around the reception/entrance area.Translating
Very friendly and attentive welcome; French is spoken. Very clean and quiet. 39.50 for one night in a van with 2 adults, electricity included. 1 franc for 3–4 minutes of hot water. Very good value for money. We recommend it without hesitation.Translating
Wi-Fi does not work. Electricity is charged even though nobody needs it. Price approximately 40 CHF for 2 people and a van. Hot water for showering costs 1 CHF; cold water is free. Toilets and showers are clean. Very nice access to the water. However, most pitches have no lake view. Owner is friendly.Translating
Very clean and very friendly! Idyllically located with private access to the lake, where you can also swim. Quiet hours are from 12 to 2 p.m. and nobody is in the office. It is better to leave before noon, otherwise the daily fee of 45 CHF will be charged.Translating
Great little campsite with everything you need. Reservations are not possible, but you can camp almost directly by the lake. Hot showers cost 1 CHF; cash only overall.Translating
Beautiful large meadow where you can park on level ground. Lovely views of the lake and mountains. No marked pitches. Unfortunately, the reception is unfriendly. Wi-Fi is very weak and only available right around reception!Translating
Lovely little campsite, quiet by the lake near the municipal beach. Very quiet, excellent location. We spent 3 really great nights; the welcome was very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were adequate and clean. The village centre is a 10-minute walk away, and Lido beach is 4 minutes away.Translating
We got a spot spontaneously. The sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated but clean. Hot water for showers and washing dishes costs extra. Nice public swimming area with a large meadow. There is a meadow with pitches and a gravel area. Many long-term campers. CASH PAYMENT ONLY!! Friendly people.Translating
Both of them are very unfriendly. Luckily, it is their last season.Translating
The place is beautiful, right in front of the lake. The service was good; in fact, they allowed us to park the motorhome in front of the lake. We stayed only one night. The only problem was the showers: we paid for hot water, but it never became hot, so we ended up showering in cold water. Quiet site and flat pitch with space for the children to play.Translating
Nice campsite with a beautiful camping meadow overlooking the lake. For one night, there are also good pitches farther up on a gravel area. We are satisfied.Translating
Swimming meadow is nice (public). Campsite: reservations are not possible. Unfortunately, nothing is explained or shown. No hot water at the dishwashing station. Shower costs extra. Two adults, one night with electricity and waste fees: 39.20 francs. First we were given a place where electricity was impossible even with a long cable reel. It was simply charged anyway without asking.Translating
We were also received rather poorly, but the groundskeeper was super nice. The pitch is very beautiful and quiet. Barbecue areas on the beach and a wonderful view. We felt comfortable.Translating
Very unfriendly welcome from the hostess. I never post reviews, and I also prefer not to write a bad one based on a single experience, but I really advise against this place. We eventually went to the campsite farther on because we felt so unwelcome. From there, you can walk in 10 minutes, past this campsite, to the same beach. The beach itself is highly recommended.Translating
The site is very beautiful and easily deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the reception is very unfriendly; luckily there is also a very friendly groundskeeper. Toilets and showers are outdated.Translating
Beautiful place on the edge of the lake. Clean and calm. Dogs are welcome. Good background for campers.
The only positive thing is the site's location. Too expensive and only cold water for that price. Sanitary facilities are completely outdated but reasonably clean.
