Woodland parking, rain drips

Very beautiful, peaceful place close to the castle, with a very pleasant walk. We spent the night there, but unfortunately parking under the trees when it rains is not ideal. Water drips from the trees onto the motorhome roof, so we slept very badly.

A lovely spot in a gorgeous woodland. Lots of walkers and runners, but I found no problem getting a spot recently in mid-March. Highly recommended.

Lovely position in well-managed woodland. Very few parking spaces here in September. No facilities and moderate signal, but I love the location.

Ideal spot in the forest, without services. We spent a peaceful night with two other campers, but one of them set up a table and chairs. What a disrespectful way to behave in this place; it is no wonder they later install height barriers. It is fantastic for running, walking, cycling the greenway to Killala or simply relaxing. Please take your rubbish with you; there are no bins.

A peaceful night in the middle of the forest. Motorhomes can park here. The place is frequented by locals. Beautiful walks in the forest with a monument and fairy trail. No services apart from a rubbish bin. The highlight: a generous and very affordable breakfast at the castle, at Jack Fenn Cafe.

Stunning. Pitch black and totally silent at night. There’s really only space for 1 or maybe 2 campers (7m). Take your rubbish with you.

If you arrive early in the morning, you may be lucky enough to park in the only longer space, where other cars park. The first option extends slightly into the forest and does not obstruct the road. There is a stone marking the limit. Practically level. You must pass the height-restricted car park, and it is on the right. Castle, fairies… a magical place!

Stayed here on Friday night. Really quiet, felt safe. 15 minutes walk to the town centre. No facilities but it didn’t matter to us. Will definitely stay here again. Has a height restriction barrier

Nice setting, but no proper parking space. The only sufficiently large space encroaches on a path.

Stopped for dinner. Didn't stay the night as the place was very busy with cars coming and going. My 7m van was too long for the parking spaces and I felt I would have been in the way.

A quiet place under the trees. A very dark woodland in cloudy weather. The parking area has about four parking spaces and two disabled spaces. We spent the night without any problems.
