Been here?
This paid parking area near the Bolarein rock art site sits among pine trees close to Snasavatnet. It costs 150 NOK and offers a peaceful night, with little road noise. Facilities are limited to a hole-in-the-ground or composting toilet; there is no water, and the cafe is closed. Walking to the rock art and waterfall is nearby.

Stayed one night here. The road is quiet. Not many facilities. No water. The WC is a hole in the ground / composting toilet. Cafe was closed. Peaceful night though and the walk to the Bolarein and waterfall is a must. It’s not far.
Very beautiful and quiet parking spot away from the E6. You can barely hear the cars. We were completely alone there. There is a pit toilet, which is checked daily and supplied with new toilet paper. You can walk to the waterfall—a lovely short walk. The payment app does not work for foreigners; the café was closed, so we spent the night for free.
Unfortunately, a paid parking lot costing 150 NOK. Despite being directly on a through road, the location is quiet, with only occasional vehicles audible. Space for about six motorhomes; four are here tonight. The café is closed and the payment app is only for Norwegians. The attraction is currently being renovated.
Paid parking! 150 kroner per night. This information was new to us.
Very quiet despite the road. There is currently construction work, so the café is closed and the payment app does not work. The toilet is functional, though. This was our second time here.
Dirt-cheap spot in May. Site inactive at that time, with a dry toilet available. The carvings are 300 meters away, and the Bolarein reindeer is clearly visible. Road nearby…
Paid parking 24/7, 150 NOK, payable in cash in a box, via Vipps, or at the café. Very quiet night.
Good for visiting the rock carvings. The site looks a little neglected; only the reindeer is clearly visible, while the other carvings require some imagination. Regarding payment, nothing is clearly explained except for the QR code... We did not spend the night.
Great place with many lovely hiking trails and points of interest. Nice facilities with a picnic table and toilet. It costs 150 kroner, but it is well worth it.
