Been here?
A magnificent overnight parking area beside a small lake, surrounded by mountains, with marmots nearby and exceptional views. Nights are quiet, although the area is beside a road and daytime traffic can be noticeable. There are no services, toilets, shade, or mobile reception, and the weather changes quickly in the mountains. The level area can fill up, and insects gather around the lake shore.

Magnificent place beside a small lake and surrounded by mountains. The best.Translating
Enchanting place, close to the road but quiet at night. Marmots are just a few steps away. Be careful around the pond: walking through the grass along the banks raises clouds of gnats. There are no services and there is no mobile reception, so you can disconnect from technology.Translating
GORGEOUS location. Idyllic beside the water with mighty mountains all around. No five stars because it is next to the road, although the road is quiet at night.Translating
Idyllic spot! Panoramic view of the lake, a great atmosphere with other travellers and their dogs. We arrived in the rain, lightning and hail; bring warm clothes because the weather changes quickly in the mountains. But there are no toilets, and the shepherd's hut opposite is private, as indicated by a note on the door. Magical awakening: brilliant sunrise, pure air and the gentle whistling of marmots. An unforgettable moment.Translating
A magnificent place with a breathtaking view, an incredible sunset, a lake with frogs and marmots all around. Just incredible—the most beautiful spot I saw all summer. A little farther down, you can park by the stream, a great spot for four vans or motorhomes, with plenty of space. I will come back.Translating
A peaceful, cool night with a view of the lovely lake. There were only five vehicles. No 4G reception, but satellite TV reception is good.Translating
Ideal car park for reaching the Rocher du Peyron climbing cliff. Somewhat disturbed by passing motorbikes and cars during the day, but super quiet at night; we stayed for two nights. In the morning, the marmots wake you up. Poor or no phone reception.Translating
Ideal place to spend the night after visiting the Col de la Bonette. Idyllic spot beside a clear little lake. Fairytale-beautiful.Translating
A very beautiful, peaceful place to spend the night, which we use again every year. Recently, there is even a toilet.Translating
A superb site with its small lake and marmots. Very quiet at night. A stone's throw from the summit, with magnificent views.Translating
Great spot, magnificent landscape, definitely worth doing again.Translating
Useful for a stop on the road, and excellent for stargazing because the sky is so free of light pollution. As some people say, the parking area is flat everywhere but can quickly fill up. There is no shade or shelter from the wind. No mobile reception either, for those interested.Translating
