Beautiful view from this “mandatory” parking area. We spent a quiet night. We like somewhat wild grassy places, so it did not bother us that it was not completely paved. On 24/11/25 we parked here during the day to visit the village. We spoke with an advisor who told us that this parking area is on private land loaned to the municipality, free during the day and paid at night. Another parking area with all the facilities for motorhomes is being built on municipal land. That is why this parking area is not yet finished. Let’s be patient.✦Translating

As mentioned previously, spot the difference: stabilized and free parking for cars, muddy and paid parking for motorhomes. For me there is no confusion—I’m going elsewhere.

I am willing to help improve our parking area according to the €6 service-point sign, but in the evening the parking area is completely dark, as well as muddy. Meanwhile, the free car park is stabilized, equipped, and lit. Where is the logic? Thank you to the municipality for making further improvements to encourage visits to this village. The service area works well.

The place is perfect for passing through if you can stay self-sufficient for one night. €6 for 24 hours is reasonable. Only the access road could use some gravel. There is a machine for waste disposal, electricity, and water, but it is somewhat far away; we did not need it. The village is really beautiful, and waking up to a view of the volcanoes is priceless.

We were lucky that it was dry. But even then, the place was a rough, hard track full of bumps. The nearby motorway can be heard as a hum throughout the night. The village, however, really has charm.

Avoid this place, fellow motorhome owners. We are not welcome here: several free car parks, motorhome prohibitions everywhere, and €6 for a muddy square whether you stay 30 minutes or 24 hours, with no service points in sight. Go instead to Usson, Lavaudieu, or Polignac; they are free and very beautiful villages.
