Saint-Rémy, 01270, Salavre
Been here?
A grassy parking area beside the Saint-Rémy-du-Mont chapel, offering a magnificent panorama and space for 2-3 motorhomes. Recent reports describe it as very calm and clean, with shade until 14:00. Agricultural machinery occupies nearby land, although this does not always disturb visitors. Access is via narrow roads and can be difficult for large motorhomes.

Updated 2026: this place is still just as good, shaded until 2 p.m., quiet, and above all very clean... Do not take the negative reviews about agricultural machinery into account; that is old nonsense. I often stop here for the absolute peace and quiet, even when farmers or cows are present. Thanks to the municipality for maintaining this place.Translating
Beautiful view—no question—but the “pitch” is still in the middle of the village, and the area is not even designated as a parking lot. It looks more like private farmland, which the machinery might also suggest… We drove on, as we were not sure how happy the residents of this small village were about its use as a motorhome spot.Translating
Large grassy parking area, flat in front of the chapel. Very quiet, magnificent sunset with the cows and tractors. The only drawback is that only one spot is really shaded.Translating
Lovely view, unfortunately spoiled by all the agricultural machinery filling the entire area in front. We did not stay, fearing the farmer might use it early in the morning. Do not rely on the photos.Translating
Grassy parking area. Very quiet. Beautiful view over the plain. A few cows kept us company. Too bad there is so much agricultural machinery on the adjacent plot. Very good for one night.Translating
A beautiful, peaceful view over the area, with room for 2–3 motorhomes.Translating
Awesome place! Cozy and calm
Quiet place, but difficult to reach with a large 7.5-metre motorhome. Narrow lanes. You are parked among cows and all kinds of tractors and machinery. Beautiful panorama, though.Translating
Quiet place to spend the night. Ideal with a dog that can be outside safely.Translating
Grassy parking area accessible via a narrow road to the hamlet below. No problem for our 7 m rear-wheel-drive vehicle, however. Nice view, but indeed you must not be allergic to agricultural machinery. Please respect this exceptionally peaceful place.Translating
Quiet spot at the foot of the chapel. Mown grass. Picnic table. Friendly resident! View over the Jura plain.Translating
