This is a large, level gravel parking area at the bison enclosure, with extensive walking opportunities and a small playground and restaurant 100m away. Overnight stays are tolerated and recent comments describe a quiet, free night with little activity. The enclosure is currently closed because of African swine fever. There are no waste or service facilities, so rubbish must be taken away.

A wonderfully relaxed spot up here, but you should be able to dispose of your own rubbish. I think nobody will complain as long as you do not throw a wild party. Since the enclosure is closed, there is very little activity in this remote parking area.

Beautiful car park with great hiking trails. The enclosure is closed because of African swine fever. Nevertheless, we spent a lovely, quiet, free night.
Spacious, level gravel area directly beside a lightly used country road. Great hiking opportunities. A detour to the bison is a must, although €7.50 per person makes quite a dent in your wallet.
Very nice camping area. Hopefully the bison enclosure will remain in operation for a long time. It is a great project and unfortunately far too little known.
Gravel area with a view over the bison valley. I spent a quiet night. A trip to the enclosure is worthwhile; I was able to observe bison and wild boar. Catering is available during the day.

Nice place to stay the night and have something fun to do with kids. Good walk with entertainment elements. Wisent Quiz. Nice restauran and little playground. We payed 20€ for 2 adults And 2 kids for the park

perfect for a night stay beautiful sunrise over the Bison wildpark . entry to the park is only €5.50 pp . and worth it even only for the walk through the landscape approximately 2 hours . we will be back again.
Very good starting point for hiking and observing the bison. Overnight stays are tolerated. No water or waste facilities. During the day there is activity on the Rothaarsteig and at the wildlife enclosure. It goes without saying that you should take your rubbish with you ;) Nice restaurant at the entrance to the enclosure, but unfortunately it was already too late for us to eat there.
