Camping at the Schwentine

It has to be said: this is a great campsite. Excellent value for money. For one night, €31 with everything included. The owner is very nice. We will definitely come back.

Good little campsite. Very traditional. Facilities are clean, though quite basic - absolutely fine for our needs. Have stayed here before. Direct access onto the Schwentine so have launched our SUPs from here before though not on this occasion as only passing through. Worth noting that you do need to park correctly and where told, or you get told off by the owner!

Very beautiful and peaceful campsite. Very suitable for cycling tours and water sports. Direct access to the water. Sanitary facilities clean and well maintained. Price for 1 person in a van with electricity: €25 per night. Showers €0.50 for 6 minutes. Small note: avoid pitch 32 and keep your distance from the unpleasant permanent camper.

Small campsite suitable for a few days while passing through. Everything, including Eutin, is easily accessible by bicycle. Two washrooms are outdated, and toilet paper was scarce during peak times. Some areas are compacted earth, so a mat is essential. It is okay for a short stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights: a lovely grassy site, clean sanitary facilities, a very friendly welcome, and fair prices for groceries bought at reception. It was very quiet and we could relax. The center of Malente is a 15-minute walk away. Motorhome, 2 people, 1 dog, and electricity cost around €32 per night. We would gladly come back!

Very family-friendly site with lovely access to the river by canoe. Sanitary facilities are clean. Electricity costs €3 per night. Unfortunately, inflation has hit here too. A small pickup with a camper body and two people costs €26 per night—almost 40% more than the listed pitch prices! No shopping facilities on site. Supermarket about 2 km away.

We stayed here for one night while passing through and parked at the back on the grass without electricity. It was very nice. You must leave the site by 10 a.m. Since the nearest supermarket does not open until noon, we wanted to stay 1.5 hours longer. The not-very-friendly receptionist wanted an extra €10 for that. We thought that was rather steep, so we deducted a point.

Good position, kind guy at reception. No card accepted for payment. Very few toilets and showers for a big camping. Clogged showers. Hot water by charge of 0,50€/6min. If you don’t have a coin of 50cent you will lost your money and you will have a cold shower.

Nice smaller site. EC card payments are now possible for larger amounts, but not for one night. Price for a van, 2 people, and electricity: €25. Trees and bushes separate several areas.

Really beautiful, quiet campsite with great access to the lake. We arrived later but still got a spot, unfortunately right by the road, although it did not bother us at night. Unlimited use of the ultra-modern sanitary facilities! At €21 for 2 people including electricity, you definitely cannot complain.

Visa accepted and Wi-Fi available. Extremely quiet and really beautiful. No road noise, planes, or people. Penny supermarket and Kellersee are easy to reach. Landing place on the river—straight out of a picture book.
