City parking, break-in risk

As a local resident, I have been parking here since I bought it four months ago. Yesterday morning, someone broke in and robbed me (I have an alarm). This morning, when I came to leave some things and try to repair the damage, I found that someone had broken into a camper parked next to mine. It seems this parking area is no longer safe for us.✦Translating

We slept peacefully without any problems. It is a large car park; the downside is that it is paid and limited to 3 hours. You do not have to pay between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. WATCH OUT!!!! The police arrested a guy who was stealing from inside a caravan at 3 p.m., in broad daylight.✦Translating

Perfect for us. It is Friday and we found a space on the slope. The free funicular saves a lot of time and energy and takes you to the cathedral, La Ribera, and the old town. Only suitable for daytime parking; otherwise the motorhome would have been on a slope.✦Translating

Great for visiting the city center, although you still have to pay the parking meter during the week. Recommended: we slept peacefully and quietly.✦Translating

Practical for going into town; take the funicular down right next to it. Park on Saturdays and Sundays because it is free. Finding a space is rare because it is always full. We are in a 7-meter motorhome, parked at the back and next to the buildings so we do not stick out.✦Translating

Car park 10 minutes downhill by funicular to the market and old town. Perfect for spending one or even two nights. Quiet and with plenty of parking spaces. On the upper street there are several bars and a garden for dogs and children. No services.✦Translating

More of a short-term car park for vans up to 6 meters maximum. Very tight and busy. Better to choose a street parking space—both are paid with EasyPark, and the street is even cheaper. The elevator goes toward the old town, 10 minutes to the market hall.✦Translating

Good for parking during the day and visiting the city, which is easily accessible on foot or by bus. Many people hang around the car park, but we did not notice any thefts. We did not stay overnight.✦Translating

Actually a good car park in terms of access and distance to the city. Unfortunately, our car was broken into… we were there on Saturday from about 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The police were friendly and helpful. So be careful…✦Translating

Outside the low-emission zone, which is an advantage, and not too far away for visiting the Guggenheim Museum. We easily found a space for our van. Nearby there is also a small restaurant called “On Jam” with a real menu for €14.40, including coffee and wine, plus very friendly service. Address: C/Mina san Luis, 12.✦Translating

No space. Very tight to manoeuvre, while we usually don’t have any problems with this. Access ramp scratches the bottom of the campervan. I’d give it two stars since it’s a relatively central, but the current 4,1 star rating is completely out of place. Parked up the mountain on the other side of the river eventually.

I parked along the street and needed some time to find a parking meter, located at the roundabout on the car-park side. Maximum 5 hours, although in the off-season there is a “siesta” in the parking hours. The way back from the city is uphill.✦Translating

Perfect for leaving the van while visiting the city. Some parking spaces are a little more spacious than others. You pay for half a day (€2.50). It is therefore best to arrive after 1:30 p.m.; for the same price, you can stay until the following morning.

Even on the weekend, we found a parking space for our 6-meter campervan, while all the other car parks in Bilbao were full.

Great place for campervans, maximum 5.5 meters. Green zone. You cannot pay for more than 4.5 hours in advance. Each 4.5-hour period costs €2.50. First period 9–15 and second 15–19. Free on weekends too.

Super to spend a night in Bilbao. Close to old town, police station around the corner, safe, quiet. Stayed a Saturday to Sunday, free parking in the weekend. Small slope but ok. 6m max, no rv.

We could not park; it is completely occupied by local vehicles.

We arrived late on a Monday and left early Tuesday. Spacious and quiet. Somewhat sloped, but it did not bother me at all. Safe and with little activity.

Excellent place, green-marked spaces. I parked shortly before, opposite the police station; it seems very safe compared with the other places in the city.

Pretty good car park for visiting Bilbao! It is well located and has plenty of spaces. The only thing is that it is a green zone, so keep that in mind. It is also very high up compared with the river, so the return journey is a bit hard haha.

It is a large car park with many spaces, but beware: it is a green zone, so you have to pay during the day. We parked on a public holiday and did not have to pay. It is in the upper part of town, but there is a funicular directly opposite that takes you down and back up.

Car park very close to the center where we felt safe spending the night. €2.50 for half a day and then free at night, so great!
