Well located and quiet for one night, close to the Loire and the town. The town itself is not really worth visiting despite its great potential, as it is very dirty. The monastic city is nevertheless worth seeing and deserves major renovation. Thanks to the town hall for providing these spaces for motorhomes. It is a shame that some people occupy three or four spaces when diagonal parking would be perfectly possible.Translating
Convenient for a daytime stop while visiting the town.Translating
Quiet parking area; we spent one night there. The drawback is that there are only two or three spaces for large vehicles because parking is prohibited along the Loire. Take the guided tour of the church offered every morning; it is very enlightening.Translating
Quiet and spacious parking area without facilities, formerly a motorhome area. There was no construction material on the site, and it is open for parking again. It is forbidden to dump water here into the former drain; the fine is €1,500. We had a quiet night. Several motorhomes stayed overnight. A great place to visit the town.Translating
A parking area not necessarily suitable for motorhomes, but you can still find a place along the pavement. At the end of May, there was still construction equipment on site.Translating
Pleasant stop near the town center, which is worth a visit. Thanks to the municipality for making part of the parking area available to motorhomes.Translating
Beautiful spot for visiting the town, which is well worth it. You can still hear trucks crossing the bridge at night, so it is better to park at the back of the lot.Translating
Arrived at the beginning of March 2026; the parking area was inaccessible because of construction. We parked along the campsite 300 meters away, which was also closed because it only opens in April.Translating
Quiet night at the end of the parking area during a stopover. Thanks to the municipality for this free place.Translating
I came the day after a major storm; many trees had fallen. It is no longer possible to dump waste, and the service terminal has been removed. However, it is a good location for visiting the town.Translating
It is still pleasant to be able to park overnight at this location. Thanks to the town for leaving this space available, just two steps from the center, where you can enjoy a good crêpe just above the bridge.Translating
Magnificent, like the town itself. If there is a space left, aim for the tip of the island; the view is breathtaking. A restaurant is next door. The town center is across the bridge, just cross it. It is a gem, one of those places we eventually lose. The locals do not like foreigners; you can feel it—a quiet, well-established hostility. Too bad for them.Translating
You can spend one or several nights in this small parking area, but the spaces are limited. No services; everything is abandoned. Otherwise, it is quiet, shaded, close to the old town and on the banks of the Loire. Still a nice place.Translating
This parking area is still usable for motorhomes. The 2-meter barrier only applies to half the parking area; the back section has no height limit. It is an ideal location for discovering the village of La Charité-sur-Loire and accessing the Loire à Vélo route.Translating
You can no longer go there: the road is a dead end, and the parking area has a 2-meter barrier.Translating
Very quiet parking area, well located near the Loire à Vélo route, with no services and easy access. Recommended. Thanks to the town.Translating
Very pleasant parking area in a quiet, green location beside the Loire, with comfortable amenities: loungers and tables available, overlooking the village just two steps away.Translating
We used this parking area for lunch and to visit the town. We did not spend the night because it is difficult to level a 7.5-meter vehicle. No services. The town is worth visiting; we liked the phrases displayed in the shop windows. The cloister and church are worth seeing. Thanks to this municipality for the welcome.Translating
Easily accessible parking area beside the Loire, perfect for a lunch break and for visiting the beautiful town.Translating
Beautiful view of the Loire. Very quiet. Lovely crêperie 100 meters away. Nice town to visit. No services.Translating
Simple parking area without services; a quiet night lulled by the sound of the Loire. Close to the town center and shops. Not particularly recommended with a trailer. Thanks to the municipality for the welcome.
A very quiet, basic parking area with no facilities directly beside the Loire, for about seven motorhomes. A five-minute walk across a beautiful bridge leads to the small town with its impressive church.
Shaded parking area, well located for visiting the old town, and good for walking dogs.
We spent a very peaceful night beside the river. The small village is charming. As mentioned on P4N, there are no services, just a not very large parking area for motorhomes.
Ideal for one night. No amenities. Very good pizzeria at the foot of the bridge.
Very close to the lovely town of La Charité-sur-Loire. Background noise from the Loire and birds. Too bad the service terminal no longer exists.
It does the job for one night. Five minutes from the town. Very nice for late afternoon.
Very good for spending one night after visiting the town.
Large tarmac area, spent the night with no problems. Quiet apart from the birds by the river, which is to be expected. Slightly sloping but fine.
