A quiet gravel parking area beside the Seestüberl, approximately 10 min. from the A2, with a small adjacent lake and hiking opportunities. Cross-country skiing is possible in winter, and the elevation is about 1350m. Overnight stays may be allowed by goodwill with the café owner, with consumption at the restaurant expected. The nearby lake and rural setting make it suitable for a short stop.

We asked in the little pub if we could stay overnight, and the answer was “no problem.” Of course, you are expected to buy something at the restaurant; besides, the restaurant is very inviting.
Ok for day only. Lovely couple own the cafe nearby. Beautiful walks and lake nearby. You absolutely can not stay the night here. The Carinthia province in Austria does not allow any free camping or motorhome stop overs. Fine is €3,600.00!! Too big a risk for us! We left at 7pm when someone stopped behind us, wrote something down and took a photo of the van and left. Campsite just down the road or 30 minute drive to a 4€ stop over near a garage/sports field. We stayed there! :)
