Via Maremmana, 50012, Bagno a Ripoli
Been here?
This shaded forest spot is very quiet at night and has a nearby picnic area with tables and fire or cooking places. It is suitable for about 2/3 vans, with walking and mountain-bike trails nearby. Access is steep and difficult, especially over the rough, washed-out last 200 m, and maneuvering large campers is hard. Mobile reception is poor.

Beautiful spot, but packed with Italians grilling and having fun on Easter Monday. Unfortunately, we had to turn around because we couldn't park our car. Accessible with a normal van, such as a Peugeot Traveller, including a bike rack, but certainly not suitable for everyone. You could also park a little farther down and walk the last few meters.
Very beautiful place to sleep. The road is paved except for the last 200 m; the rough dirt track is damaged but manageable. You can slightly hear a very distant road. Space for two or three vans; difficult to maneuver with large motorhomes.
The last 200 meters are challenging, but manageable even with a Marco Polo, which has fairly low ground clearance.
Very good and quiet. Poor mobile reception. Very easy access with a 4x4. Do not follow Google Maps, which is terrible at directing you to places like this.
Impossible to get there. The road is too difficult to take. Very friendly locals explained that the vehicle would be highly likely to get stuck, and we have an L2H2 van.
The location is perfect, peaceful and surrounded by nature. Not a sound at night, even on weekends. However, access is really, really difficult. You have to take your time and keep your fingers crossed. We went twice in an L2H2.
Incredibly beautiful place surrounded by nature. Next to the camper spot, or converted-car spot, there is a picnic area with two fire/cooking places. Locals, hikers, or cyclists occasionally pass by. Otherwise it is quiet. It is an excellent starting point for hikes.
Access via a steep dirt road in very poor condition. In rainy weather, a 4x4 is strongly recommended. Flat gravel parking area with some picnic tables. Convenient for hiking and mountain biking. Peaceful night.
Dangerous road; several times I was afraid of getting stuck. Ruts, holes, and rocks. It is impossible to turn around once you have committed to it. I was in an SUV with a roof tent. I strongly advise against it.
Amazing spot! Be careful on the last part of the road, since it is very off-road.
Very quiet and isolated place. You may see hikers or mountain bikers in the morning because there are many trails. We spent a very good night here. However, the track is somewhat rough, although we got through without much difficulty in a two-wheel-drive Duster. Five stars nonetheless!
Do not follow google maps to reach this place! After the San Donato village where road divides take right to Parco di Fontesanta and follow in park4night. With beautiful view from mountain we were here all alone in april. Beware after last turn the road is now heavely washed out during latest rains, it was no problem with our 4x4 car, but for some regular van it could be a bit challenging.
Very pleasant and quiet place, with somewhat difficult access toward the end of the track. Not a sound, and barbecuing is possible!
