Shaded valley homestay, narrow access

A beautifully ramshackle bohemian old chateau where you are warmly welcomed by the host. A flat area of field lawn shaded by plane trees and many diverse characterful out buildings. Fantastic views across the valley a stroll through the gardens away. The swimming pool tucked away behind the banana tree and veggie garden adds another dimension. Such agreeable people, a special find to unwind.

Robert welcomed us very warmly. Shaded pitches with electricity! A small coffee on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Piedmont in the morning!

Beautiful location, not far from Foix, where you have all the shops. The owner is very friendly and greets you in Dutch or French. Water and electricity are available, and the camper pitches are shaded. Best approach route from the road coming from Foix. Highly recommended!

The place is fantastic, secluded from everything, with the sound of birds. You park under enormous trees, and there are sunny spots too. Robert is very kind and invited us for coffee; very hospitable. The road is a little narrow in places but has hardly any traffic.

A wonderfully shady place. Lots of space, quiet and green. Have coffee with Robert and Els on the terrace. And what a wonderfully wise dog Prins is. An address to cherish.

If you want to stay in a quiet location with a fantastic view of the Pyrenees, this is the place. You park your camper on a grass field by a chateau. The owners are very hospitable and invited us for coffee on their terrace. Instead of one day as planned, we stayed for two.

We were there for one night in June. Although the owner was away, the caretaker welcomed us and we were allowed to choose a pitch and spend the night there. A beautiful place to unwind.

Here you feel as if you are staying on friends' property. Exactly what was promised is provided and the price is fair. The host is very pleasant and the location is special. The small detour is worthwhile; the approach is easy.

If you are looking for a pleasant and peaceful place to spend a night with charming owners, you have come to the right place! The terrace of Château de Montcru offers a superb view of the valley. We were alone on the pitch intended for motorhomes. Dogs are welcome, which is a big plus for us. Thank you to Elizabeth and Robert for their very kind welcome!
