Been here?
This is a level lakeside parking area without services, suitable for an overnight stop and walks around the lake. It is beside a busy road, so traffic noise can be noticeable, with occasional extra disturbance from cars or weekend activity. Ducks, geese and swans are abundant, and rodents have also been reported. There are plenty of level spaces, bins, no height barriers and a 9 mile one-way cycle route.

A little noisy because of its proximity to the road, but otherwise nothing to report apart from the many harmless swans, ducks, and geese. Ideal for running in the countryside. Excellent 5G signal.
This area has been over run with ducks, geese and swans, and if they don't scare you off, the ROUS's (Rodents of Unusual Size) will. I don't understand the good reviews, this is not a safe place to walk a dog or spend the night, unless you want to take mice and rats along the rest of your trip. We left immediately! Wish I could give NO STARS!
This is a good park up. If you are a light sleeper you will need earplugs its next to busy road, also I feel it may get busy at weekends. Good walks around lakes and beyond, also 9 mile(oneway) cycle route.
Nice little overnight parking spot right next to a pond.
Lovely park up, lots of very, very friendly swans and geese.
Great find, beautiful walks with the dogs good phone signal on O2 and EE. Great TV signal too. However, the only drawback was the noise from The Road. It was nice to hear the geese and swans chatting through the night. Plenty of bins for rubbish and they come and empty them early morning there’s plenty of light in the car park in the evening and there’s also a food dispenser for the birds.
Fantastic place to stay, lovely walk around the lake and plenty of level spaces to park. EE and sky 5g so signal was no issue. Only noise was abit of traffic and the ducks in the morning. No height barriers
Wonderful day spent by the lake working from the van. A few other campers here that look like they stayed the night. Slight road noise which might be a problem if I were sleeping.
Lovely place for a stop over. Great walks around the lakes. As mentioned in other comments you may need ear plugs. Road noise is noticeable but not overbearing. Local youth’s did visit on a Friday night with their cars and music. They did leave around midnight but were no trouble really. We did like some of their music Ha Ha. Well worth a visit.
Lovely spot by the lake. Next to the road, so there is some traffic noise, but it is okay. Some cars were revving and backfiring last night, but they disappeared by about 11 p.m.
Nice and level, road noise little loud but easy to get used to! Lovely walks around area and fun waking up to the swans and ducks, car park can get a bit busy in the daytime.
Lovely spot around the water. Nice lake view and good walks. Not too noisy aswell. Great for one night.
Lovely spot, view is beautiful - if your scared of birds maybe not the right spot for you. Couple of kids in cars around 10pm but it was a Saturday night and not enough to feel unsafe
Nice stop over. stayed just for 1 night. no issues. A small amount of road noise. Pretty view. Highly recommend.
Very good location, beautiful walks aroind the lake, we stayed here for three nights and fed the swans which were super gentle to hand feed. The only down side was the boy racers and the youths doing drugs, but no one ever bothered us and they dissappeared after 11pmish. Would deffo stay here again!
