Been here?
School parking lot near a small forest, ideal for a peaceful night and visiting Arcachon's center within ten minutes on foot. Very safe with surveillance. Avoid weekdays during school terms when authorities may ask you to leave.

We spent one night with other campers and AC units. Quiet place without noise. Around midnight, at approximately 2 a.m., they switch off the streetlights. Completely safe; we slept with the van window open because of the heat. Ideal for visiting the city, only 10 minutes on foot.
Very pleasant spot beside a small forest, little traffic, and therefore very quiet.
Quiet parking spot for one night. You can go for lovely walks in the adjacent forest.
Good parking for a day trip to Arcachon during the school holidays. A 20-minute walk takes you to the beach. CCTV is present.
Top spot. Excellent quiet stop with a large car park on May 15, and a great little forest with paths for walking dogs or playing with children. The night was great. Good spot for visiting the town, the winter district with its magnificent houses, and taking a ride on the seafront Ferris wheel. I recommend it. Also a great spot outside school holiday periods. Best wishes to everyone.
Perfect place during the school holidays. Two steps from the town centre and beach. Cycle path.
Perfect for a weekend night, but certainly best avoided during the week in school holiday periods. Quiet and close to the winter district and the centre (you can return via the park elevator).
Excellent place for a peaceful night and to visit the town centre, 10 minutes on foot.
Not recommended! The sign says parking is allowed for 24 hours, but the school security knocked on the car at 7 a.m. It is not allowed to park there during school term. Teenagers also stayed in the car park throughout the evening, smoking, drinking alcohol, etc. Very unfortunate, as the town is beautiful.
Good area near the centre (although there is quite a slope) for spending the night. Quiet, with shade in the morning.
Two nights, perfect for sleeping. With bicycles, we were seven minutes from the seafront. It is a shame that Arcachon does not have a motorhome area or services.
We were able to spend one night in this car park. Convenient because it is near the town centre, but the return journey is uphill! Not particularly quiet, though.
Excellent spot! Very close to the wonderful winter district and only 10 minutes from the centre. WARNING: camper spaces are only those marked on the asphalt. Do not park in the woods under the trees, otherwise the police will arrive, as they did this morning.
Very good spot! Shaded and quiet. Easy access to the town on foot while enjoying a visit to the winter village! Plenty of spaces, so there are quite a few vans and motorhomes.
Good overall, but watch out for your dogs: wild boars come out of the forest at night. (Few spaces.)
Excellent parking area 10 minutes by bicycle from the centre. During the school term, you may stay only at night; in summer, staying is allowed for 48 hours. No services apart from two rubbish bins.
Quiet parking area, not far from the centre. But one motorhome occupied three spaces and emptied its grey water in the car park. Disrespectful.
Great, excellent spot, quiet and peaceful. We spent a good night. An enormous number of mosquitoes.
We stayed here over the weekend and it was very quiet. It is also not far to walk into the city.
The place was very quiet at night and we slept well until we were woken at 7:30 a.m. by a friendly man from the school opposite, telling us we had to leave before school started at 8:00 a.m. So we quickly packed up and parked elsewhere in the village. There is indeed a sign saying you may stay for a maximum of 24 hours, but on school days you must leave on time.
Okay for visiting Arcachon, five minutes on foot: quiet and empty outside school periods. Small spaces; impossible for a 7.5 m vehicle to take the exit road without touching the rims—the chicane is too sharp. You have to exit through the entrance. CCTV present.
This lycée car park is on a slope and was full. At the junction with Avenue Pierre Frondais, there is a very large car park reserved for lycée staff. The municipal police directed us there. This applies during school holidays.
Quiet and peaceful spot for one night, with one shaded section and another more exposed to the sky, 10–15 minutes from the town centre. We came for the marathon and were allowed to leave the truck there until the start. Excellent!
