The price may be a little high: £35 for one adult and one child, but the washing machine and tumble dryer are relatively cheap compared with other campsites (£2 for the machine, £3 for the dryer). There is no one at reception except from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; everything is done online.
Super peaceful little campsite with a wonderful view of the mountains. It is right beside a stream where you can swim! The owners are very friendly. We were able to book our pitch online easily one day in advance. Plenty of space per motorhome. The washrooms are old but clean.
Pleasant campsite in a natural setting. The facilities are average: two showers, two toilets, and two sinks. High price: £38 for two people with electricity. We have experienced much better for less money.
Small, cozy campsite. The facilities, with two toilets and two showers in separate areas, are basic and okay. Easy online booking. Overall, too expensive.
Superb little campsite with clean and sufficient facilities. It is preferable to reserve and pay online. The system is first come, first served. The surroundings are superb and very quiet.
Expensive, wide pitch, all the services, location is everything
We stayed in our van one night. the price is £35 and it includes electricity. Even if you (like us) don't need, since all piches are with. Facilities are underwhelming. kitchen fits MAYBE 3 people and only has a microwave and a HOT water dispenser. Showers and toilets (2 of each) are ok, but you better want hair washing cause the temp is fixed and showerhead too. overall is ok, but overpriced!
I had a camping experience with my motorhome here at Glenshiel, but it was dreadful. We could not use the outdoor space at all because of the midges. The area was literally infested, and despite having mosquito screens, some got into the vehicle and kept us awake. The rest of the facilities, although not very clean, were available as described.
Beautiful spot with a great view of the Five Sisters. The nearby stream has pools that invite you to swim.
Nice and quiet little campsite. Very kindly welcomed by Sue. £20 a night (rebate from the list price possibly due to an issue in the toilets) for a van and 3 persons and with all usual camping services and the socket for the electricity. A good place to stay on your road to the inland when you come late from the Isle of Skye.
Small campsite, clean facilities but only two women’s showers and two men’s showers. Kitchenette with microwave. The grounds are not ideal when it rains. Campers in tents must leave their vehicles in the car park outside.
Small campsite with few pitches. Very quiet. Clean facilities. Pleasant welcome.
Very friendly welcome. Good parking area for motorhomes. Services available and functional. Washing machine and tumble dryer available if needed; payment by box or QR code. Simple but very good.
A very beautiful, quiet place. Clean facilities. Very polite owners. Ideal on the way to the Isle of Skye.
Facilities not great, and quite noisy for a beautiful little campsite. We had a delicious meal at a nearby inn.
Clean place. Registering five minutes before reception closes is completely sufficient.
Great little campsite with large pitches. Right next to hiking country where you truly get the vastness of the Highlands. Really wonderful! Sue is warm-hearted and makes you feel welcome. Facilities are somewhat old but very clean.
Nice, tidy campsite with 16 huge pitches. Tent campers must park outside. Clean facilities; be sure to book online in advance. We got the last available pitch the day before. You may not drive onto the site after 8 p.m. Good hiking opportunities. Lots of midges, so tent campers should bring protection. £35 for two people with electricity. Some road noise and a rushing stream.
Small and quiet, with a beautiful location. Clean toilets, but the shower water was rather cool late in the afternoon. Extremely friendly staff.
Lovely little campsite. Nice and quiet and Sue was very friendly receptionist showing us where everything was on the site. Nice large flat pitches and everything you need washer dryer and a microwave. We stayed one night and walked away from the campsite and wow what views and the stream that runs next to the site is so clear and beautiful an amazing place to stay.
Unpretentious, quiet campsite with a very warm welcome. I recommend it.
a nice quiet site only a few vans while we were there, a few nice walks just off site too.
AMAZING experience. We were newbies and she helped us with absolutely incredible hospitality. The site is super quiet in the mountains and super well located next to Eilean Donen. Private hot showers, super clean bathrooms and a kitchen to heat everything. You don't have to pay extra for electricity, and it has all the facilities. Hopefully we can come back one day. In short, it is perfect.
I made a reservation for the wrong date. I have complained a thousand times, but they neither answer nor refund my money. They do not even have a telephone number.
Excellent campsite; electricity is included in the price, the welcome is warm, and there are great walks nearby. The facilities are immaculate and the shower is hot.
Extremely quiet surroundings, with many beautiful hiking trails. At the end of September there were only a few campers and mostly locals, with whom it was easy to strike up a conversation. We booked online very spontaneously, and the lady at check-in was super friendly. However, the chocolate shop on the main road no longer seems to be operating.
Beautiful Campsite Surrounded by beautiful scenery and walks nearby! The chocolate shop is just down the road!
