Lagoa de Óbidos, 2500, Foz do Arelho
Been here?
A small parking area directly beside the Foz do Arelho lagoon, suitable for enjoying the water during the day. The surface is uneven, and motorhomes are not allowed to stay overnight there during the summer period. Clean toilets and small bar-restaurants are nearby. Vans may be accepted in all seasons, while overnight conditions outside summer are unclear.

We parked overlooking the lagoon for the day, but it was so uneven so we moved to the car park just behind the little restaurants for the night. I asked 1 of the take away vendors and he said he didn’t think it would be a problem and that the police don’t pass by. Lovely quiet nights sleep, woken to the goats with their bells
During the summer season, motorhomes are not allowed there at night or during the day; they are directed to the area next door. Outside the season, we do not know. Vans should be able to access it year-round.
Perfect for spending the day at the lagoon! There are very clean toilets and small snack bars and restaurants. We did not stay overnight, as I do not know whether this area is part of Natura 2000; if so, sleeping there is prohibited.
A quiet night and waking up to a view of the lagoon—what more could you ask for? Just mosquitoes at dusk, hence the 4/5.
Perfect spot to go windsurfing. Very calm. No facilities. You just park next to the road where barely any cars pass.
