Strada Provinciale 59, 54033, Carrara
Been here?
This is an isolated daytime parking area with picnic tables and hiking trails in dense forest. Traffic is very light, especially after dinner, and the area is cool in summer, but there is no view from the parking area. Campfires are forbidden, and trash cans are available. Overnight use is unclear: an earlier report said it was forbidden, while a later visit found no prohibition sign. The approach through Carrara is unsuitable for campers over 2.30 m wide.

Quiet place, beautiful village at an altitude of 700 metres.Translating
A small village square, just as we like them. You can spend the night here if you are not early sleepers or late risers. It is quiet from 10:30 pm to 7:30 am; it becomes lively during the day, and the church bells can be heard every hour from 8 am to 10 pm. There is a small grocery shop opposite selling meat, cheese and eggs, and another 200 metres to the left for bread, as well as a bar.Translating
We arrived at this place by chance and saw no sign indicating that parking or sleeping there was prohibited. Dense forest all around, not very pleasant at night. But beautiful light in the morning, with sunlight through the trees and birdsong. A few hikers in the morning. Be careful on the road because of the lorries carrying marble blocks, which honk at every bend...Translating
Perfect place to spend the night. There are lots of chestnuts to collect. It is rather cool up here, but I like it that way. A good starting point for hiking or cycling.Translating
Attention, it is now forbidden to sleep here. A sign clearly states the prohibition! We had to continue on our way to the village of Montemarcello, a few kilometers away. There you will find a quiet parking area.Translating
