Paid parking to visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct.✦Translating

Based on the reviews, we arrived after 8 a.m. In the morning we saw that several smaller vehicles had spent the night there. The parking area does fill up quickly, and later it was more difficult to maneuver and find a space for a larger van. We do not know whether it is usually like this, but the most spectacular train was the one after 10 a.m.; it slowed down, released steam, and blew its horn. The next two did not have this effect.✦Translating

Not a nice place - £10 unless you are a tiny car sized van. Unfriendly carpark attendants. Often closed due to capacity issues so best to arrive 30 minutes after the last train has gone across the viaduct. £1 to use the toilet! There are 4 trains advertised on boards by the visitors centre but only 2 are steam trains - others are diesel. There is a nice circular walk on the walk highlands website

Arrive at 7:30 in the morning, when there are almost no people in the parking area. We had time to eat breakfast while waiting for the right time. The viaduct viewpoint is a 15–20-minute walk away. Toilet available and drinking water for filling our bottles. For information, the morning train passes at 10:45.✦Translating

Extremely busy on a Monday in October which shocked me. Lots of dogs, people loud in vans nearby and ultimately not somewhere I would nap or even relax in the day. As others have said it is day only but felt very watched from the staff - was expensive for the lack of privacy too

The parking area fills up quickly, so try to arrive early. We had to pay £5 twice (£10) for the motorhome, regardless of how long we stayed. We arrived at 9:55 in October, and the tickets were valid until 10:00 p.m.; after that, the parking area is closed every day from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.✦Translating

It is outrageous to charge this much just to park and watch the train pass, but all the surrounding areas are sealed off so you cannot park and have to pay £10 simply to park, and at 8:00 p.m. you have to leave.✦Translating

At 10:00 there were probably still seven spaces free in the left parking area, but I was not allowed in and had to squeeze my Vito into a small parking bay on the right. Unmotivated and unfriendly staff. Unfortunately, it is practically the only safe parking option near the viaduct.✦Translating

it's a National Trust Carpark, but with a short Motorhome it is not possible to park there anymore, even if you arrive early. we tryed hardly. we do have the membership and need to spend 10£ to park our Motorhome at the expensive carpark next to it.
