Corbet Woods Carpark is a quiet woodland stop overlooking Grinshill, with space reported for 8-10 vans and no height restriction. It offers lovely walks through woods, quarry pits, and cliffs, with beautiful views and generally peaceful, dark nights. Dog walkers and occasional cars arrive in the morning, while no facilities are available. Stay on the marked paths and keep away from fences and steep quarry edges.

Used this for a 2nd time, always a few others using it, but it's a reasonable stop off, nice walks around too Get the odd few cars pull in up til about 10am then 6am walkers etc in the morning Useable signal to ee/three
True hidden gem for camper vans, thank you to the person who found it ;@) stayed for 1 night & by far 1 of the best spots to stay! Felt so safe, no boy racers in sight. Lovely walks around & beautiful views too. Dog walkers come & go but never bothered us. Tv/phone signals 100%. Defo would stay here again amazing place.
A quiet place with a fantastic view in the woods, where you can take a very beautiful walk. Definitely recommended, but be respectful, park considerately and keep it clean.
Beautiful little park up. Great views from the wood. Quiet & peaceful. Lots of room for campers & MH’s.
Fantastic spot in Corbet Wood with lovely walks around the quarry. Peaceful night, a couple of other vans here. Very popular with walkers/locals but plenty of space. One bin (full), so took our rubbish with us!
good quiet spot , shared with 3 other campers. lots of dog walkers come and go but plenty space if only a few vans stay. nice walks in the woods
2nd time here after visiting family nearby. Great spot, quiet for a good nights sleep.
just stayed at Corbet Wood ,beautiful place to overnight very quiet and dark
Also stayed 301225 and was here with 3 other vans. This is a wonderful spot but a few of the locals who are friendly have voiced their disgust at the fact that some van dwellers left the packaging from their Aldi shop on the floor beside the only bin here. If the bins full take it with you.
Stayed here again last night! Very convenient park up. Spacious and beautiful views! We were one of four vans to stay again. Just wish other vans would be mindful and not play loud music
Beautiful place to sleep and have a little walk in the morning. We arrived very late to join one other van and had a very peaceful night. Lots of dog walkers arrived in the morning, all very friendly. Really lovely views, nestled into the trees, no lights at all. Highly recommend.
nice quiet little car park, easy to find and space for at least 8-10 vans. no height restriction or signs to prevent overnight parking. felt very safe, with lots of nice walks from the carpark - perfect for dog owners.
Excellent small car park, spent a really good quiet night here in August. We had the whole place to ourselves until a few early morning dog walkers came.
A really lovely woodland parking lot. It is busy during the day with walkers and rock climbers, but super quiet and calm overnight. We heard an owl!
Great spot! Tucked our motorhome into the corner, in a shaded spot for our dogs. Didn’t feel like we were imposing. Great walks and views. Plenty of dog walkers around but quiet between 9pm and 9am.
Great park up. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely walks in hillside woodland/ex quarry. Go left from the car park to see the views. Interpretation board tells you all about the fascinating history. Two other vans stayed the same night we did. Loads of room for more and no signs saying "no overnight".
Great quiet park-up, nice and level, with plenty of room. EE phone signal is good. Lovely walks in the woods and quarry. No signs saying overnight parking is prohibited, and it is free to park.
Lovely area with no height restrictions. We did not stay in the end because there was no phone or Wi-Fi signal. Recommended for those who want to disconnect.
absolutely loved this place, so peaceful. stayed overnight
Stayed with my dog for one night. Fairly level ground. Good walks on the doorstep. Quiet stay, one other campervan there which made me feel safe as it’s in the middle of nowhere! Birdsong, great early morning views. Walkers/dog walkers arrive from 8:30-9am. Would stay again.
Arrived at about 21:00 on a Friday night. There was small groups of youngsters meeting in cars. Just chilling with their mates. Absolutely no bother at all. A few cars coming and going through the night and taking torches into the woods had me a little intrigued. All in all it was a decent park up.
Love this spot arrived at 9.30 and had the place to myself and the dog had a great time chasing through the many paths. More exploring of this area tomorrow. Thanks to thise who recommended corbet woods Grinshall car prk
Stayed last night great little place. Good walks around the area. Car park gets busy wish dog walkers but everyone we met were friendly.
Lovely spot. Great view, really cool walks and landscape. A few kids being kids with their noisy motor bikes in the afternoon, but they weren’t doing any harm. Only loses a star because another camper has their dogs running loose and mine is a very reactive rescue who is now freaking out in the van, but they’re having a nice time and so am I. Might be back!
Gem of a place. We had a lovely peaceful night, one other campervan there. It's in a lovely clearing and not bad for star gazing on a clear night. Loads of birdlife, loads of paths to explore through the lovely woodland. Rarely do we ever stay in a location more than once, but we added this one to the sat nav for a future return visit. No facilities so you need to be totally self contained.
Great spot right in the woods. Car park at the end of a farm track. Space for 15+ LWB vans. Gets busy with walkers in the morning & day time but was empty at night. Ranger came to see what we were up to & was happy with our fire pit & us staying over. Deffo go back in the summer
Great location! Quiet night, great for seeing the stars. In the morning few cars turned up for dog walkers but no issues. Lovely area to explore and learn about the quarry.
lovely quiet setting. Secluded and scenic on a rainy day. Some dog walkers and people in the morning but in the whole great setting.
Fantastic area. Locals seem relaxed about vans using the car park. There can be many dog walkers, but everyone we encountered was friendly. You must explore the quarry woods—they are beautiful!
spent quiet night here lots of dog walkers and plenty of walking tracks
