Cave parking, busy road noise

Parking area for visiting the extraordinary paintings and engravings of Font-de-Gaume.

Free parking 10–15 minutes from the center. It is flat, and the construction work is finished, so it is accessible. However, it is by the road and therefore fairly noisy; it is fine for one night.

About 10–15 minutes’ walk from the village, perfect for visiting.

Simple, free, flat, and fairly quiet. A little traffic, but it did the job for one night.

The parking area is currently partly a construction site, and the remaining spaces are a muddy puddle after rain, as shown in the photo from November 2, 2025. Traffic is bearable at night but very loud during the day.

Free parking with lots of shade. Five minutes on foot from the prehistory interpretation center and two minutes from the small supermarket. Ideal for keeping your vehicle cool while visiting the various sites of Les Eyzies.

Useful for one night because it is close to the busy road leading to Les Eyzies. No rubbish bin, so take your waste to a designated place to respect the site.

No table or rubbish bin, but plenty of shade—ideal for a stop or picnic.
