Camping Saturraran

We stayed in the unmarked area; there is shade until 1–2 p.m. The bathrooms are basic, with toilets without seats and simple showers. Sinks have no hot water. The stream beside it smells terribly of sewage in the afternoon and evening, unbearably so. The restaurant could be improved; the pizzas are tasty but served cold and the service is slow. Best of all: it is 5 minutes from the beach.✦Translating

Nice peaceful camp. Not much shadow. Just around 300m to beach. Showers are OK with hot water. Restaurant with great staff. Fish was excelent. No reservation systeme. You get paper with price per night and you can stay long how you want.✦Translating

nice place near to the beach. Food was very good and the evening waitresses very nice. In the morning it was a little bit slow to have breakfast. The road is just up to the place and trucks started to pass by at 5 in the morning.... The toiletseats were missing... but quite clean showers and toilets anyway. I give it a 3 because it is a cheap place, which is almost impossible in the Basque Country (€23 for a van/2 people without electricity), and it is a 5-minute walk from a very quiet beach. That said, the campsite is more a meadow with very, VERY old showers and toilets (the shower itself is comfortable). The campsite is very conveniently located by the beautiful natural beach of Saturrarán, with a beach bar and showers; a shop and the nearest town are within walking distance. The sanitary facilities are basic and reasonably clean. The adjacent river smells; it is better not to choose a pitch directly beside it. Overall, okay.✦Translating

Great little campsite 5 minutes from the beach on foot. Clean sanitary facilities. We arrived on the evening of August 19 and there was space. The other campsites were either full or far from the beach, hence our interest in this one. Road noise did not bother us at all. Neither did the smells—we were at the back.
