Camping municipal Le Chamois

Poor value for money. The pitches are rather uninviting, shade is available on only a few pitches, and the sanitary facilities are okay. €31.44 for a VW van, without electricity, for two people.

The prices need to be revised... the welcome is no longer warm. In July, pitches are assigned without even taking the slope into account. Many bivouac tents. Beautiful site.

Beautifully located campsite in the mountains, with large pitches on a meadow. The site is currently being modernized. The lighting on the main path has just been installed. The sanitary facilities are spacious and clean. A good starting point for exploring the beautiful area. Note that the mountain railway runs only on Wednesdays and weekends in June.

Great municipal campsite surrounded by nature. Improvements are underway, but it is more than usable. Very clean sanitary facilities maintained by an outstanding employee. The staff are welcoming and dedicated—and yes, that still exists. Surprisingly, however, there are no birds in such a place. Plenty of insects, though.

Campsite nearing completion of its renovation. Spacious terraced pitches. Close to the village center and the start of numerous hiking trails. Pleasant welcome and well-maintained sanitary facilities. Congratulations to the municipal employees. Very good value for money. A minor drawback: parking regulations in Pralognan are very strict and closely enforced!

We had 4 lovely days here. The site is clean, with good sanitary facilities and friendly staff. The campsite is surrounded by mountains, with many hiking trails nearby, as well as a cable car and chairlift. There is also a waterfall 10 minutes away on foot. A beautiful area, and I will definitely return. Everything you need is available in the village.

A SUPER little campsite discovered in 2024. Nothing luxurious, but everything is provided for a good stay, at a very reasonable price. The sanitary facilities are a little old-fashioned but clean, with a breathtaking view of the Vanoise massif. The village center is 8–10 minutes away on foot. The only drawback is that the campsite is not open for the May holiday weekends, and it also closes too early. In short, I love Pralognan.

Very good, but closed this summer because of a recently formed lake located above the site that threatens it. As a precaution, the municipality chose to keep it closed.

Perfect campsite at the foot of the mountains and starting point for many hikes. The village center is 5 minutes away on foot. Very clean sanitary facilities, even though they are not the latest generation; a washing machine and dryer are available. The pitches are quite large and the young woman at reception is very friendly. Last day of opening: September 8.

Access for an 8-meter motorhome to the pitch was not a problem. Great difficulty, if not impossibility, accessing the dump and fill station located beside the campsite reception building. The campsite staff do not manage inconsiderate people who park—some for a very long time—in front of the station despite the no-parking sign.

The prices are not clearly indicated. We paid €29.44 for a camper van, 2 people and a dog, without electricity. The site is very beautiful and the pitches are large.

Pleasant and spacious for 2 days in a converted van. Two sanitary blocks, one old and one newer, which do the job. Pleasant welcome. Reasonable price.

Nature reserve—overnight stays prohibited!
