Been here?
This wooded recreation area offers many natural pitches near archaeological sites and close to the city. Recent stays were quiet, including overnight, although litter such as used condoms has been reported. Access through the village is very narrow and steep, and vehicles larger than a van may not pass.

Quiet night here. Convenient for being near Arhanes and Heraklion. I recommend it.
Good place to stay if you want to be in Knossos early in the morning. The streets in Archanes are really narrow. We drove through in a van, but a car bigger than a van won't get here. A few cars passed by at night, but otherwise it was quiet.
Very good night. Quiet site near the water cistern. No dogs or cars like at Spilia. You just need to spend five minutes cleaning up—wipes, cans and plastic, as usual—and then it is really good.
I could not get through the narrow village street with my 3.5-tonne, 7-metre-long motorhome. Locals park there and the road has about a 10% gradient.
After visiting the Palace of Knossos, we spent a very quiet night here. The approach through the village was no problem with our Fiat Ducato. The pitch is on the edge of a beautiful forest, which is apparently often used for wedding photography.
