Island Road
Been here?
A daytime parking area beside the beach and the sand road to Fenit Island, with several mostly level spaces and good coastal walking. It is used by dog walkers from early morning and has been described as relaxed and safe. There are no bins, while public toilets and a water tap are available elsewhere near the harbour. Overnight stays are prohibited.

Ideal parking area for a short meal break. Several spaces available beside the beach.
Decent day spot to see the Fenit Causeway - would be a great view on a drone. Not loads of spaces but mostly level. No bins. Good 5G/4G signal.
Beautiful beach, overnight stays prohibited.
It is wild, on the sand at low tide. Good for a small vehicle and surfing at low tide. No services and overnight stays prohibited.
I checked out the marina first and while there were nice views, it was very busy. This spot was more relaxed with fewer vehicles. I was here on the Saturday of Easter Bank Holiday and was the only camper. Lots of dog walkers but right beside beach and lovely walk along beach to the island. Great views of the mountains as well. Definitely a good option if around Tralee
Great spot. If the main car park is full - drive along the beach to the start of the island and there’s more parking there
Please do not park here. There is a prohibition sign for campers at the access road. Great importance is attached to the preservation of the dune.
stunning place to park. if you go through the carpark behind the no parking overnight there is more land that isn't owned by the council. This is land has been given back to the people and is fine to park overnight FOC. Please leave no trace or this may change!
