5 Karl-Matthaei-Strasse, 8400, Winterthur
Been here?
Central white-zone street parking near Winterthur's old town park, on a slight hillside, with the town centre about 10 minutes' walk and a lookout point the other way. Since September 2024 the whole area is a blue zone, limited to 2 hours with a parking disc, making it suitable for sightseeing stops rather than overnight stays. A small bakery with fresh bread and local products is nearby on St. Georgen-Strasse. Quiet on weekday daytimes; only park within the white markings.

Since September 2024, the whole area has been a “blue parking zone.” You can park using the parking disc for a maximum of two hours. During the day on a Friday, it was deserted here. We reached the town on foot in 10 minutes. Our motorhome is 7 meters long and 2.20 meters wide.
Good free parking as a starting point for visiting the old town. Park only within the white markings. Not really suitable for overnight stays. The old town is absolutely worth seeing!
