Riverside stop, daytime toilets only

The parking area itself is very good: spacious, flat, in a good location, and shaded along the edges. However, it is important to note that the public toilets are only available during the day; I believe they close at 8 p.m.✦Translating

Practical for one night. Very quiet, with a beautiful view of the greenery if you park at the very back of the parking area. The public toilets did not look very inviting because of vandalism, which was a shame.✦Translating

Very quiet parking area. Only really good for visiting the town and sleeping. The water and waste station is difficult to reach. Wastewater can only be emptied with a hose or bucket. It is simply a large parking lot with the corresponding charm.✦Translating

Not an especially attractive place, but directly beside the town, the Stör and a small lake. There are eight electrical hookups at €0.50 per kWh, but as always, local residents also park their motorhomes at the site.✦Translating

Motorhomes are currently still tolerated. It is actually a lovely central place close to the Stör. It had a waste disposal point, but it is no longer usable. Sad!!! The district town of Itzehoe should take an example from other towns where motorhomes are welcome!✦Translating

The 2.8-tonne restriction has been lifted. It is not yet known when the bus station will be temporarily established here or whether that will result in another ban on motorhomes. No camping. Water and waste services are available in Wilster, Brokdorf or Kellinghusen.✦Translating

It is expected to close from the end of April 2025; a bus station is planned there. The town is currently building at another location. It was nice to park here for one or two nights.✦Translating

What a chaotic place. Huge puddles and mud. Several vehicles have been parked here for days without tickets. One electrical pedestal for what feels like 50 spaces, and completely poorly placed. Having 100 metres of cable would be useful so as not to stand packed in like sardines. Everyone else could also park a little farther away, because there is enough room. I discovered something completely new.✦Translating

From 1 January 2025, parking and overnight stays are prohibited for motorhomes over 2.8 tonnes. Fines may be imposed immediately. Waste disposal is also unavailable.✦Translating

Large parking area that flows seamlessly into a free motorhome area. Surface: lots of gravel. Some spaces on grass. There is a public toilet nearby. The women’s toilets were cleaner than expected from the outside, while the men’s toilets were neglected, matching their exterior. Directly beside the parking and motorhome area is a lovely small lake.✦Translating

Totally fine. The public viewing was cancelled because of a severe weather warning, so it was nicely empty and quiet!✦Translating

Attention: the site is closed for an event from 31 May through 3 June inclusive. The waste disposal point is probably not going to be repaired.

We stopped here for the night but did not stay: there is currently a funfair.

Large and quiet place for visiting the city. Currently, on 20 April, preparations are underway for a fair. I was still able to use the motorhome area from the 18th to the 19th.

Perfect. Quiet, spacious, close to nature, paved, with good mobile reception.

Quiet place despite being close to Itzehoe; awakened by birdsong. Beautiful green area just two minutes from the city centre.

Black-water disposal is out of service. It was not possible to tell whether this is temporary or permanent.

It was fine; we would sleep there again.

After the V/E station was broken into several times, it is out of service. In my view, the city's reaction is understandable and not arbitrary.

It's a shame there is no waste disposal anymore. It seems to me that motorhomes are no longer welcome. Especially the customers who bring some money to Itzehoe are being kept away. Keep it up, city administration!

How nice that there are still towns offering free motorhome pitches. While strolling through the town center, we were surprised by the variety of shops... A visit is worthwhile!

Large pitch, still many motorhomes in October. Quiet and perfect for visiting Itzehoe.

Large free site. A short walk to the town.

Very central and quiet. Great with a dog! Nice walking routes and many dog toilets.
