Camping Municipal Chouvigny

A small municipal campsite, partly shaded and with access to a stream, with 33 pitches. Basic but clean, quiet, and with really large showers. Super-friendly welcome. €19.51 for one person, dog, motorhome, and electricity. CASH PAYMENT

The pitches directly by the river are wonderful and mostly shaded. Other pitches are less attractive and in full sun. The sanitary facilities are old but functional. Although someone came by to collect payment, there was otherwise no manager. The facilities were therefore not cleaned during our four-night stay. No soap or toilet paper available. Apparently there is a manager in high season.

Lovely little family campsite on the banks of the Sioule, where peace and quiet prevail! The sanitary facilities are a little old-fashioned but clean. Thanks to Nicole and her husband for keeping this little green haven going. We will return when the opportunity arises.

Quietly located campsite in the countryside, directly by a river. Extremely friendly owner who made every effort to help us in English as well. The sanitary facilities are older but very well maintained and clean. There is a communal freezer. We paid €15.80 for two people with a van in mid-September—excellent.

Beautiful surroundings. Very friendly and helpful owners. Spacious pitches, some right beside the river. Old bathrooms but very clean. A perfect place to rest and enjoy yourself. We have stayed here before and will return whenever we travel through Europe.

Quietly located, by the water. Not expensive. We were with three children and a dog. One night for €19.30. Small playground, but exactly enough for our kids (1, 3, and 5). Hospitable, clean sanitary facilities. Good shower pressure. Definitely worth returning to.
